Hawaiian honeymooners (repost from the newlywed board)
My question is about the quotes I've been recieving. I've never planned a vacation like this so have no idea what prices I should be expecting. I received quotes from 3 different travel agents so far, and they all seem to be similar. Can you guys tell me if this sounds right?
12 nights, Maui first then Kauai, 6 nights in each (possible changing to 7/5, don't think that should affect the price much). Only one stopover each way. Includes inter-island flight, ocean view rooms, convertible on each island. The hotel choices I gave are just to get an idea of cost, (i'm trying to pay more for a really top-notch hotel in Maui and then a less top-notch in Kauai) are the Grand Wailea, The Westin and the Wailea Marriott in Maui, and the Marriott in Kauai.
All three travel agenst quoted between $6K and $8K, with the GW being the most $, the Westin being next and the WM being the cheapest. Does that sound about right?
Thanks!

Re: Hawaiian honeymooners (repost from the newlywed board)
I had gotten a qoute for 15 nights 5 in oahui at the hilton hawaiian village, 5 in maui at the grand wailea, 5 in kauai at the hyatt. Included car rental (mid size) and breakfast in maui and kauai. And it only was 4000-5000 dollars. It did not include air fare becasue i have enough miles for free air fare. So it sounds a little high but i am not sure how much air fare is.

Re: Hawaiian honeymooners (repost from the newlywed board)
let me help u, i booked airfare onlinefirst class and it was 3,000 cheaper than the price the travel agent gave me check all the websites. on kauai we r staying at the hyatt, the sheraton was our 2nd pick. i have been to maui before it depends on if you want to be in the hype of things or secluded. the gw is loaded with kids, the westin was very old and the spa felt like u were in a locker room. the sheraton looks nice . i think we r going to stay at the hyatt which is in the hype, but if u stay at both hyatt u get one night free at each. we r paying 8,000 thats with 1st class air, both hotela, rental car, free sunset sail, lei greeting on each island, and one dinner, hope this helps
