Do drug prescriptions expire?? (not the drug, but the paper the doc gives you)
I keep forgetting to get my Naproxen script filled, so i want to know if its too late.

I dunno. I guess it depends how long.
I know I've waiting 2 months to fill a prescription.
You could always just try. The pharamacist may just call up your doctor to verify the 'script but that shouldn't be a problem.

Yes i think there is only a certain amount of time that a pharmacy will take a prescription but i think that is up to that pharmacy...I know i have waited 3 months and still could but when i went the pharmacist said.."this is a little late!"

i've been wondering this myself. i have a prescription for a controlled substance that is ten months old...i doubt they would fill that...but maybe it depends on the pharmacy.

I've had ones (BC) filled up to almost a year after my DR gave it to me (but they didn't put a date on the rx).

I believe you have up to a year in order for it to expire.
I had some fiiled after 6 months and it was ok.

If there is no date on the script I doubt it will be a problem, especially for something like Naproxen.

I would be shocked if you could get a 10 month old controlled substance prescription filled at this point.

I had a dated prescription for painkillers that I got from my oral surgeon when I got my wisdom teeth pulled. I never filled it, and tried a year later when my FH had his pulled, because my copay is less than his. They called the surgeon to verify that it was still valid, and lo and behold he said I shouldn't be needing it anymore.  I think they just call to check if it's been a while and was not for an every day prescription like BC or something.
