Do you have to be catholic to do a precana??

And if you do, then is there something else that you can do if fiance is jewish and i am episcobal, it just seems like something good to take advantage of.. TIA

I don't know of all pre-cana are the same, but we both had to be Roman Catholic......can you ask your officiant?

only one of us had to be Catholic....does not hurt to ask...maybe ask about marriage preparation classes...don;t call it pre-cana...

I'm episcopal and when I looked into getting married at an episc. church the priest said we had to attend a one or two day session held by the diocese. Which I guess is similar to pre-cana.

We ended up going to a United Methodist Church, FH's denomination, and we had 3 private sessions with the pastor.

ETA: If you are getting married in a church, I think it's pretty common for a couple to go through couseling either by group or private sessions. Check with the person who is marrying you.

If you cant do pre cana, alot of counselors do pre marital counseling, and your insurance can cover that.
