Those who got their dresses at Davids Bridal...
They told me payment is due upfront in full...I have never heard of "in full" before? Sounds fishy to me, but so far they are the ONLY ones who make the style dress Im looking for, so I may not have a choice....
I just am wondering if this is the same for everyone who got their dress from them??

I think they make you pay up front in full because you buy off of their stock. Rarely do they have to order a dress for you.
Before you buy from them check out Bridesmart- it's an online store but I got my dress there (same exact style as Davids) but for $200 less.

payment is due up front and in full because they are an off-the-rack store. If you have to order the dress because they don't have it in stock, it's a gurantee that the dress is yours when it comes into the store.

I got my bm dresses and wedding dress at the david's bridal in carle place and they did tell me that payment is in full upfront. I couldnt believe it either but I kept the receipt just in case something happened. Everything went fine...I got my wedding dress and BM dresses 1 month earlier than they said originally!

I paid for my dress up front...they told me 8-10 weeks and it came in in about 3 weeks...and they won't hold it for you...so be prepared and have somewhere to store it. If you are having them do the alterations...you bring it back when it gets closer to the wedding. I used the David's in NJ and I had no problems at all. Good luck.

Yes, I paid for my gown in full. They called me after 3 weeks to tell me it arrived!
My bridesmaids paid for their dresses in full - they arrived within 2-3 months.
No problems at all!
