Mya from Cosmetic Artistry is doing my makeup. I don't have someone for hair yet and I'm starting to worry because my day is just around the corner :(

Where in Queens are you? There is this place called Explosions in Howard Beach- I know a couple of brides who have had their hair done there. They looked great. They are on my list for hair.

Kragens on Francis Lewis Blvd her name is Lauren....she is excellent. As far as makeup I am not sure yet.

I am using Paula from Paula's House of Brides in Ridgewood, I am using Jackie from I Make Up You. I have had trials with both and loved the way I looked.

I went to Salon deja vu on Francis Lewis for my wedding but for past weddings I have used -
Intercession (on Francis Lewis)
Salon Z (on Bell)
Christies (Bay Terrace)

I used Anna from Explosion too. My BM used a couple other people and they all did a fine job. This is the place that my mom goes to regularly so I used them for my wedding.
I didn't get my makeup done by the person they have there though. She was very nice but later that day my eye makeup ran badly. Also I thought she made my face too pale. I reapplied blush my self throughout the night. I know when I foundthe right makeup person my maeup lasted the entire day and I only had to reapply lipstick.

I recently started to go to Salon De Ja Vu to get my hair cut and colored. Lori is great! I used to go to Christie's b/c a friend worked there - but they are just too overpriced! I think I am going to hire Linda Palladino to do my hair and makeup. I wanted someone who could do both and the girls on the Knot love her. She is also reasonably priced

I think my hair cost about $100 (I'm not possitve) All my girls got their hair done there as well.
Call for a trial if you want un up-do ask for Glatia (Gla-di-a) She is the best.

I am getting my hair done by Rose from Saccente Hair Designs in Glendale, Queens. Claudia from Saccente is doing my girls hair.
Both do an excellent job. I have been going there for years and they do not kill you withe the prices. the girls cost 50 and my hair costs 60.
The make-up is being done by Denise of Angel Eyes. She is coming to my house.
