My April 16th East Wind Wedding Review- Does the new link work?
Okay, so better late than never, right? Here goes:
Rehearsal Dinner: Mario's in Setauket
The food was great and the service was even better! We had the rehearsal dinner on a Wednesday night so some people left early because they had to work the next day, but the waiters/waitresses made sure everyone took home dessert. My parents and in-laws were even given extra desserts to take home with them. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!
Invitations, Flowers, and Favors: With All My Heart Weddings
The woman who owns this company does the work out of her home in Ridge. Let me tell you that she is the nicest and easiest person to get along with. She went above and beyond what we had asked from her. She even set up centerpieces for the brunch my parents were hosting the next day for no extra charge. She was the best! And her prices are definitely reasonable.
Church: Hope Lutheran Church in Selden - Pastor Hill
I have been going to this church for all of my life and my pastor did a wonderful job with the service. It was just the right length so that no one got bored  , but everyone left teary eyed.
Limos: All-Star Limo
We had the excursion which was just the right size for the 13 members of the bridal party. The driver was very helpful and the limo was absolutely perfect.
My Dress and Bridesmaid Dresses: Macy's in the Smithaven Mall
Everyone's dress came in on time and the alterations were very good. They even accomodated one of my oblivious bridesmaids (just kidding) who went in for her fitting two days before the wedding. My mom also bought her dress there and was very happy. It didn't hurt that my dad works at Macy's and gets a pretty good discount.
Photographer and Videographer: Marco Photography and Videography
Girls, if you want a photographer who really cares about you being happy on your big day, Marco is the guy for you. I can't say how the pictures are because I haven't gotten my proofs back yet, but I am not in the least bit worried. What attracted me to Marco is his personality and the digital effects that he does in the albums. Some of them look like scrapbooks, which I had never seen before. The videographer who came with Marco was also wonderful. I didn't even notice he was there. One thing that I thought was nice (not sure if everyone's videographer did this) was that he came everywhere the photographer was. So we are going to have video of the bridal party taking pictures at Old Field duck pond.
DJ: Tommy Tunes
We had Joe E. as our MC and Vinny as our DJ. I can't say enough how amazing they were! The dance floor was packed the whole night and Joe E. was dancing with everyone! His jokes are terrific, especially if you like the Sopranos, since he kind of looks like Christopher from the show. If you have these guys booked, you have nothing to worry about!
Reception: Estate at East Wind
Our maitre d was Kevin and he made sure we had everything that we desired. We had had problems with the organization of East Wind in the beginning (people promising us stuff that turns out we weren't supposed to get, the staff telling us we could come in for a tasting and then being told that they don't do tastings other than going to the bridal showcases). East Wind brides: don't worry if you are having the same problems! It all works out perfectly in the end. I have no regrets at all picking East Wind. They did a fabulous job and the grounds are simply magnificent. The food was abundant and delicious. DH and I brought tons of dessert back to our hotel room (we had a viennese table). Everyone is still talking about how much food was there.
Wedding Night Accomodations: The Inn at East Wind- Ambassador Suite
It was an extremely gorgeous room but I don't know if it is worth the price that it normally goes for (I think it's around $700 per night!). We didn't pay that much since our date was considered off-season and we had blocked a huge amount of rooms and got a discount from that. DH and I did enjoy the room though!  We took a nice long bath in the jacuzzi and had some fun with the King-sized bed.
Honeymoon: Our House in Florida
We did not take a honeymoon since we just built a house in Florida and we wanted to go down and start decorating. And hey, Florida is tropical enough anyway right? We plan on taking a cruise for our one year anniversary in place of an official honeymoon. (If you would like to see pictures of the house, FM me, or I can put up the post again on the Home Board.)

Oh, I forgot to mention the weather on that day. Well, it rained the whole week before and I was beginning to get a little nervous. But, my wedding day had the most perfect weather ever! The sun was out the whole time and the temperature was just right. The next day for the brunch was an even nicer day!
Oh Yeah:
Brunch the Next Day: Blackwell's Restaurant at the Great Rock Country Club
This is right across the street from East Wind. The food was fabulous! They even set aside tee times for anyone who wanted to play golf after eating. Also, I called them the week of the wedding to find out if I could come take pictures the day of the wedding. They said "absolutely" and they were waiting for us when we came in on Friday with the photographer.
Hair and Makeup: Cheryl and Tressa from Eddie D's
They did it out of Cheryl's home and I think that my bridesmaids, my mom, and myself looked wonderful. (They are so inexpensive too!)

Tuxedos: Roger's Tuxedos in Centereach
I have no complaints about them. The sales people were very helpful and the tuxes looked wonderful on all of the guys.

DH taking off my garter:
I am not going to post any pictures besides myself and DH because I don't want anyone getting upset that their picture is on this website.
The girls dresses were black and their bouquets were white daisies and yellow roses.

Okay, the pictures are saved on my hard drive. How do I attach them to the post? I tried doing it but the pictures looked huge. How can I resize them? I think I'll try playing around with them but I may need some help.

Oh I give up! I used the resizer and it said it would email the pics to me but I haven't received them.
