Love my BP, want to sell FMIL on e-bay.

I can not take it any more. My FMIL is being a pain in rump. She has nothing nice to say about the wedding and now my shower. She is driving my BP nuts about my shower. She keeps turning them down on ideas they have. Meanwhile my mom has been nothing but supportive with my girls. I thought it was up to my mom and my BP when it comes to my shower. I guess i was wrong. I know my shower is going to be a great surprise but i really feel bad that my BP has to deal with a pain in the neck FMIL. The funny thing is she made a comment to one of my BMs that she (FMIL) has to stay on neutral ground because she doesn't want me to dread having her as a MIL. I think she is a little to late. My BP has been putting her in her place time after time when she gets out of hand. I used to get along with her. I guess once they know your marrying in they turn in to FMIL-zilla. Thanks for listening to me vent. I just don't know what to do?
If this continues i swear i am going to sell her on e-bay.

just go with the flow... the fact that she said "she doesn't want me to dread having her as a MIL" is an indication that she knows you have differences of opinion but want to respect each other nevertheless. the worst kind of MIL is one that has no clue her actions are not welcomed. hang in there!

SHe does nothing but complain and argue any one need some one to vent at. Place a bid.
I want to patent a FMIL doll that does nothing but say negative things sort of like that mr. Right doll that say nice things. This way us brides could either take out her batteries or feed her to fido with out getting arrested.

I should really bump this post later tonight and take a poll of how many people want to sell their FMIL on e-bay. I know i am not alone.

I have come to the conclusion that i think not even ebay would take her. Is there anywhere i could pay someone to take her. She does have days (moments) when she is nice. That is usually followed by the comment "I for got we have to invite Billy Bob to the wedding". Meanwhile Billy Bob is a twice removed cousins friend that lives in Guam. I wish she would be like she was before we told her set a date for the wedding. She and i were great friends, now i feel like i am trapped in a bell tower waiting for prince charming to rescue me.

I am on the keeping my eyes open wide looking out for a poisined apple or a spinning wheel.

I have to go to FMILs house now to pick up last minute addresses. I'll write in a little and tell you how it goes.

OK. Get this she was as sweet as sugar to me and said she is sorry for how she has been acting. I was so shocked. we'll see what happens. All i want is to be able to get along. I told her we have to get along because i am not going anywhere. I guess then she realized i am not playing games anymore.
