Hawaii honemooners...Is 10 days enough for 3 islands?

We were thinking 3 days in Oahu, 4 in Maui and 3 in Kauai. Is that enough time? I would love to just sit on the beach a lot of days but I also want to do a lot some touristy things. We can't go over 5 thousand dollars on hotels, food and entertainment. What do you suggest?

hmmmm....... IMO I think 10 days- 3 islands is not enough. You might feel like you're travelling constantly. 2 Islands, 10 days seems ok to do and still feel relaxed and rested

We did three islands in 14 days (Oahu, Big Island and Kuai). Three in 10 days might be a bit hectic but, not too bad. IMO, I would stay one less day in Oahu and one more in Kuai. Kuai is BEAUTIFUL!!! Three days isn't enough! I found Oahu not to be that great (except for the AMAZING hotel we stayed at). I think if one island has to go - you should eliminate Oahu.

I'm fairly certain that you can do day trips from Maui to Oahu to do Pearl Harbor, etc for about $100pp. If you did that you could just do Maui and Kauai so you're not running around travelling and then get all the tourist stuff done at Oahu.

I don't think 10 is enough for 3 islands. I went for 10 days and did 2 - I debated 3 but there wasn't enough time. 4 in Maui is a little short - there is so much more to do - in my opinion. We skipped Oahu - I had been there in hs and besides going to Pearl Harbor - I found it to be too commercial - at least the part I went to. It seemed like a Florida strip.

Maybe consider staying on 2 and then taking a day trip to the 3rd. I have heard this works out well. My brother did this and acutally went to 4 island in 10 days. They said it was great, they probably could have stayed longer but dont regret how they planned it!
They stayed on Oahu and Maui and took day trips to Kauai and the Big Island.

I'm doing 15nights 16days in Kauai Princeville and than we are going to Island hop around!! Maybe over to the north shore check out the surfing alittle bit!! Fiance and I are big time surfers!

3 islands in 10 days is a but much. I did 4 islands in 14 days and it was too much. (Since I am a travel agent I wanted to see everything that I send my clients to see) 2 islands in 10 days is more relaxing.
