Bridesmaid Drama (vent... a little ling)

One of my bridesmaid pretty much just told me when my shower is. I am so upset with her right now. She is very ignorant when it comes to this wedding stuff but how could she not know that the shower is to be a surprised. She thought nothing of it when she told me the date - she acted like I knew it already.

I have been upset with her for some time because she has done nothing to help me with the wedding and never even ask me about it and she is suppose to be such a good friend of mine.

Then after she told me the date of my shower she asked me again for 100th time what date my wedding is. How could should not know the date of my wedding with it being less than 3 months away. She is also suppose to sleep at my mom's house the night before because we have to be ready by 8am to start pictures. And she told me that she is unsure if she can sleep over. Now there is no way that she is getting ready with hair and makeup done and getting to my mom's house in West Babylon from the City by 8 am the day of my wedding. I don't understand why she would make plans the night before my wedding.

I am so frustrated with her and angry. I don't even know what to do any more.

Do any of you have this problem?

Sorry to hear that! You should insist that she sleep at your house the night before. She is being very selfish.

These are the people we choose to stand by our side and i know at times we wonder why? Do not stress out about it..as long as you are ready for your day and to take pictures..take them without her...it is your day do not let anyone ruin it for you.

I am very sorry to hear that - I had some issues with two girls one who is no longer in the party - the other everything is cool with now - she DID TELL ME ABOUT my shower - which at the time really upset me but things are ok with her now. I thought for a while that my MOH was not really interested but we spoke and it turned out she was just so busy that she didn't mean to do what she was doing. I can say it does hurt to think that your friends trivialize your day - but you should focus on the happy days you have coming up and focus on the girls who are helping to make it special and just dont' let this girl get you down (OH and try talking to her maybe you will find that there is more behind it then you thought)

How does she know she can't sleep over if she doesn't know when the wedding is?
