Need Help- FMIL Needs to Find a Dress ASAP!!!!!.....
We have been trying to look for a dress for her for some time now and the timing is getting close.
Here are the problems (well not problems but thats what she calls them)
She is 5'0, D Chest and a Big Tushy. 
***Very Beautiful, looks young and DOES NOT WANT TO WEAR A "old granny dress" as she calls it! (no offense to anyone)
She wants a 2 piece (jacket/skirt) with top --so maybe its called a 3 piece?
We have been to a few places (bridal shops) she did not like anything from them. She shops at Nordstroms but unfortunately she has yet to see anything there.
If anyone could maybe lead us to a store or maybe a picture of something you know that your mom/FMIL wore that would be so helpful!

There is also another place on merrick rd in wantagh or bellmore called totally you. She can try there I went there with my mother a few years ago and dont really rember the style of the gowns.

what about talbotts, ann taylor or bloomingdales, or nicole miller? there is also a store in huntington (rexer-parkes) that has great higher end dresses.

If she likes Nordstroms and 3 pieces she wants to check out Teri Jon (Rickie Freeman for Teri Jon nites) they make long straight skirts, strapless and non strapless tops with jackets - they sell a lot of them at nordstroms - BUT there is a much bigger selection at Saks in the city.

Not sure of your FMIL budget, but she should try Fillys in Roslyn and/or Meka in Woodbury- They carry great stuff...pricey, but very fashionable, and wont look like a grandmother!!!

I followed CKNYC and went to Mieka and it was a great experience. Nothing cookie cutter, everything is beautiful. My mother purchased her gown there on Saturday. I would suggest going there, pricing is most over 1K. A few below 1k. But I really must say the gowns are to die for. Classy, elegant and not stuffy. They are having trunk shows these next two weeks.
