Limos...whats everyone doing with getting parents around?

My dad will be coming with me to the church, and my mom will go with the bridesmaids, but what is everyone doing afterwards? THey will come with us to take pictures, but should we get a separate car for them? ANd i dont know what to do with my FIL's.. should we get a separate car to pick them up before the church and bring them home after the reception?

Since my parents really aren't helping too much with the wedding we told all our parents (I have a stepfather and stepmother) that they needed to figure out their own transportation...I feel bad, but we only have so much money...my dad and stepmom are getting a town car to drive them and since my FG and nephew will be staying at my Mom's house my stepfather will have his car there with their car seats in them. Not sure about FIL's yet, but they onlylive about 5 minutes from the reception.

Let's see if I can remember our plan.

Girls and my mom and grandma from hotel to hall (ceremony and reception same place) in a 10 passeneger limo

In Laws and guys from in laws house to hall in 10 passenger.

Then we are having a limo pick us up from the reception.

In Laws are having a limo pick them up and my mom will go with them

OK I think that is how we booked it.

We got 3 limos:

The excalibur will bring me, my dad and my mom to the church.

The escalade will bring my Fh, his parents, and the GMs to the church

The 10 passenger stretch will bring my grandparents and my BMs to the church.

After the church, the escalade will turn into the Bridal party limo; fh and I will take the excalibur as our car and my parents, grandparents and FH's parents will take the 10 passenger stretch.

I think my mom might drive her own car.

She wants my brother to come with me , & Iwant my dad to come with me, so sosembody has to take te car. It would make more sense if she came with us & my borther took teh car & or they went togehter, but she wants him to come with me.
I assume FILs will drive.

Is that rude?

We're getting a limo bus for us & the bridal party

Both sets of parents are getting small limos or town cars to & from reception.

Yeah, see i have about a 3 hour gap, but i'm pretty sure that both mine and my Fh's parents will be coming with us to take pictures during that time. I want to get a town car for the 4 of them, but i dont know about getting them home..his parents are in queens, mine are in suffolk, so they would need separate cars to go home..My dad suggested leaving cars at the reception place so they can drive home.

We're providing limos for our parents to and from the reception. I really didn't want anyone to have to worry about drinking and driving.

They take the 10 passenger to where? Immediately to reception site or to where you are taking pics? Do you have a gap between church and reception? Sorry for all the questions but as you can see I need help with this also!!

my parents will have a limo for themselves at all times

I dont want them driving on that day.

No problem, ask away! Our ceremony is at 3pm and reception at 6pm. As of right now they're going straight to the reception hall. Floral Terrace only does one wedding a day so they allow the guests to start arriving as early as 430pm for champagne and strawberries.

Also, I forgot to mention that our families will go to the reception hall the morning of the wedding to leave cars there so they can get home. Crazy I know, but the families wanted it this way.

ETA: The reason that our families will be going to the reception right after the cermony is b/c I think it will be too much to bring our families along to take pics also. We'll just take the family pics at the hall.

My dad is riding with me to the church and my mom is riding with my grandmother, godparents and aunt in a limo. After church, my dad will go with my family in the limo that they arrived in the church in and my FILs also have their own limo with FI's godparents.

All parents are driving themselves...we are no having limos. My dad will drive me to the hall :)

My parents are funny. they want to drive.
my didn't didn't know he was supposed to go in the limo with me.

My brother doesn't drink, so he can drive my parents home as long as soemoen gets the car there in the first place & FFIL doesn't drink, so he can drive home ( they live in westchester)
I think he'll want his car, so he can drive other people home if he has to. He's good like that.
