Is it normal to have a fitting 5 months before wedding?
I am confused. My gown came in and I am very happy, but they want me to have my first fitting next week. Is it to early?????

I had my first fitting last month and I am getting married in 6 months. They wanted me to come now because I needed alot of work done and they wanted to be able to take their time with it.

That seems early to me - my wedding is the week before you and when I ordered my dress they said fittings wouldn't start until June.

where did you get it from
my weight fluctuates so i know i wont be getting my last fitting until a couple of days before so i wouldnt get it 5 months before-JMO

That seems a little early, I'm only going for my first fitting this Saturday and my wedding is next month. Maybe it needs alot of work?

That is the reason why I went early was because it needed alot of work. Then I am going for my second fitting in July.

mine is 4-6 weeks, but the hem is arleady done.
Differnt stores have differnt systems.

that seems really early to me. a lot can happen weight-wise in 5 months.

They may be only heming it now and doing the rest later, It also could be they just want to see how it fits on you and make sure everything is right.

I'm having 3 fittings all within the 6 months prior to my wedding...I'm dieting and losing weight so my gown is getting bigger
