Family Issues-Inviting fighting in-laws

Two yrs ago got into argument with FSIL and haven't spoke since, she was 19 and immature. Then FBIL gets involved, now don't speak to him either and we were friends for 10 yrs. Fiance sides with me and agrees they were wrong. In an effort to reconcile, I send note to FSIL and FBIL 2 months ago and have heard nothing!!! Fiance's parents don't want to be involved!! Wedding is eight months away, i will invite them, they probably won't come, but is there anything else I can do??? I extended the olive branch, but feel really bad for fiance, but he doesn't seem to care. I really don't care to be around or have a relationship with these trashy people, but for the sake of it all i am willing to be civil.
Can I do anymore????? Any suggestions???

If you FI doesn't care sweetie, then really, why should you? You've tried, and they're not willing to even meet you halfway, then leave it alone. Sometimes there are people in our lives that we just have to let go.

Ask your FI if he would like you to try to make a phone call - (But be prepare yourself to be hung up on) - But I would talk to him first. - A lot of the time I think I'm doing the right thing w/ HIS family b/c that's just the way MY family is and expect things to be done, - HIS family is totally different and sometimes I make the situation worse-
Your FI will know what's best for you to do, if he tells you to drop it, that's probably the best thing. - Their HIS Brother and Sister, if HE doesn't care, there must be something you're missing. - Don't stress over it !

I am in the same boat as you right now sweetie. BIG family turmoil, over a BIG mistake, now nobody is speaking. I have also tried calling. The only suggestion I can offer to you, is try not to ruin such a happy time in your life. There are negative people out there, and you and your FH are going to have to do what makes you happy. Hang in there as things always have a way of working themselves out :)

Both mine and my FH's families are having issues with us and eachother.... It's a tough situation. We should start a 12 step club or something.

BTW, FH and I are really considering eloping. I'm so tired of going around trying to please everyone else at this point. This is our wedding and we will do what makes us happiest.
