Repost from BHB - In Dire Need of Recpetion card wording
we are odering invites this week and i am stumped in re: reception card wording. we are having a mass at the church at 3:00 and then a tented beach reception (cocktail hour) at 5:00. i would like to somehow mention that the reception is outside (not a hall). The llocation includes the word beach, but some people may still think that it is an inside facility.
any advice?
maybe:
join us by the bay for cocktails and reception five o'clock

no , I don't think you need to capitalize it unless you use the whole name of the bay.
In college,we always had "under the tent " dances, so you could say that too, join us for an undee the tent reception, but that might sound a little too much like camping.
