I am starting to get nervous

I am not getting that many responses back-only 66 the due date is March 1st. Why, if people know they are not coming or that they are, do they wait to the last minute? What if we don't meet our minimum(100)? It sucks that we will have to pay for people who don't come-Aahhhhh! Help

I know, I'm worried about the same thing. Could we have made it any easier for them? The response cards are stamped and addressed. How hard is it to drop it in the mailbox!?

It's totally natural- people always hesitate when they can't come. They probably feel bad and therefore kind of try and hide it by not sending back the invite.
OR
People are just plain LAZY!

Don't get nervous- March 1st is still a long way away. They'll come in.

same here... my response date is 2/27 and we still haven't received alot back either..

Honestly people are just more inconsiderate and forgetful these days.

They put them aside saying I will send it later and then forget about it.

I am in MI now so I don't get the NYT anymore but mom said there was an article a few weeks back about how people are becoming lackadasical about responding to invitations in general these days and that more and more people are finding that they have to hunt down many of their guests

I figure out of the 98 invites that went out (181 people invited) that I will be LUCKY to get 2/3'ds of them returned

Thank you ladies! I know I am paranoid, but I can't help it! Want to know the best part, my future sis-in-law(who is pregnant and will have the baby one mth. before the wedding), who is a bridesmaid, wants to bring her one mth old to the wedding because she has to breast feed. Who is going to watch him? Her and her husband are both in the wedding, and my fiances mother told her that she can't watch the kid during the wedding when she herself will have alot to do that day including pictures and partying! What are your opinion on this ladies? This is not only the first time she has tried ruining my wedding. She did not like the dresses we picked out for her and her daughter(flowergirl), she waited so long to order her daughter's dress that there was a rush delivery charge added on and she refused to pay it and told the lady at the shop to bill me. Nice, right! There are so much more, I could write a book! Also, we went out of our way to extend the invite to her sister and or brother so that they could help with the baby. Well, now she wants to invite her whole damn family. You know she has more than one sister-that is what she told our mother in law.

my due date is today...I got 3 in yesterday and a good bunch in for the last week.....still missing some, but most are elderly people that we know are not coming and have extenuating circumstances, so I'm not getting upset over it
