Anyone else not doing anything BIG for vday?
I feel like im the only one  everyone around me is going away or doing big expensive things... we just cant afford to spend alot of $$$

We're going ice skating and out to dinner. But we usually do stuff like this on the weekends, so it is not really special for Valentines day.

WE're not.. we're broke.. We are going to dinner and to see monster at the movies.. I bought My FI, milano cookies (his favorite), a card from me and one from Juanton (our dog) and HOMER SIMPSON slippers..LOL.. Nothing major... so don't feel bad!!!

FH will be working as usual , so we won't be doing anything. We had dinner at a Japanese restaurant last night. That was our "valentine's day" dinner.

We are staying home, having a nice dinner together with a bottle of wine. That's bigger to me then going out to a crowded restaurant where we would probably feel rushed

I left it up to FH... from what I can gather, I think we are staying in. (I know this, because he asked if we had any candle sticks  ) HE will probably order in food, because he doesnt know how to cook. We are broke too, so don't feel bad. Buying a house and having a wedding all in the same year makes thing TIGHT! Happy Vday

I'm working 9-1, he's working both jobs: only a 4 hour break in-between, and thats it. We'll make up for it on Sunday, especially since my bday is on Monday.

FH is away this weekend :( He works with a sports team and they had an away game in Maryland this weekend. So I will be flying solo tomorrow but next weekend we are going to Foxwoods casino for my birthday! I think he reserved a jacuzzi suite and I am so excited! Just wanted to share! Tell me about it ... we're BROKER than BROKE and trying not to spend any extra money on things, esp gifts for each other.
Meanwhile FH splurged and sent roses to my office today, even when I told him not to! But I still loved that he thought of me nonetheless! He's the best
Tomorrow we are doing NOTHING, don't feel bad! We offered to babysit my new nephew (2 months old!) and let my brother and SIL go out for a nice romantic dinner. We'll order in and just watch movies... mostly likely I'll hop online at some point!!!
Just a typical evening for us

We are doing nothing. i got him some inexpensive chocolates and am making him chocolate waffles as a treat.
Don't know what he got me but we never spend more than $20 each and especially this year - we can't afford anything big.
I think I will make dinner tomorrow as usual.
FI seems to be getting the flu so we are in all weekend I bet.
No big deal to me

Allison I can relate about the Romance dept.
I expect nothing as well And yes this is an ongoing problem I would love to know how you deal with this because I take this to heart
