I told hubby not to send them because I did not feel like lugging them home on the subway. Hopefully I will get some tomorrow.
I did get flowers from a business colleague though- but that does not count.

I told FI the same thing. If you send flowers to work then I have to bring them home on the train so he said no problem. Also, he feels that tomorrow is V-day and not today so he is brining me flowers tomorrow.

Enzo knows better than to get me flowers, I hate flowers, they just die. IMO.
I would take a plant like a orchid or something any day though.

Even though I told him NOT to do it (for many of the reasons you listed here, especially having to lug them home from NYC) I just got a beautiful bouquet delivered to the office. Combo of pinks, reds and white roses.
AND he had them throw in a box a candy! Just what I need when on went back on WW 2 weeks ago! (LOL) 
But I'm certainly not complaining, he is too good to me!  
And here all I bought him was for V-Day was a DVD he's been wanting

FH doesn't even know my work address, so I'm not expecting flowers...however, just last week he gave me a bunch of purple (my fave color) tulips (my fave flower) "just because".
(They must have been on sale.  )

Nope nothing.
Don't expect any either.
I didnt really have to say no, it's just I find the whole concept petty.
I agree flowers die (but i have no green thumb)
I like to GET flowers (Mondays is best)
I like to dry the flowers (Monday flowers start to dry on Friday)
What I would like more is lucky bamboo for the tables at the wedding. 
If I got flowers, then Id feel like Im taking advantage of the advertising that is flushed on people. Jim shouldnt have to buy me flowers cause it's V-Day. Everyday is V-day (old joke since my name is Veronica)
He buys me flowers 'just cause' and frankly I find those more romantic than the expected almost mandatory V-Day. JMO
(NOT that I'd complain if some showed up! I'd be disappointed in him.)

No flowers here either...but DH knows it'd only be a waste...it's Friday and I'm NOT lugging them on the train ride home...and if they stayed in the office, by the time I got back here on Tuesday, they'd be dead.
I will be expecting some pretty flowers tomorrow though !!!

"just cause' is great. I get those too. Today is great too. Call me guilty of playing in to the hype but I love it.

I have asked DH not to send flowers to me at the office. The owners sort of frown on it and I get a little embarrassed and I would much rather enjoy them at home.

No flowers
FH used to send me tropical flowers- birds of paradise, etc. every year.
This is the first VDay that we are actually going to see each other. I told him not to give me flowers this year. Knowing him, I probably will get some tomorrow though.
