Do you invite people to the bridal shower...
who are not invited to the wedding?
My FH is flipping out on me because I was under the impression that people who are invited to the bridal shower must be invited to the wedding.
Long story short... his mother gave him a long list for the bridal shower, but did not include those people on the list that she gave to me for the wedding invitations.

Yes, if you invite them to the shower, you invite them to the wedding.
This stirred up a BIG fight with my brother and grandma, and are no longer talking because of something that steemed from this.
It is proper ettiquette if you ask me

I agree... if you are invited to the bridal shower you should also be invited to the wedding. If you don't invite them it looks as if they were good enough to come to the shower and give you a gift but that you do not want them at the actual wedding. If that happened to me I would be a little upset...

I agree with all of you!! At least I know that I am not the crazy one!! Thank god they gave me the bridal shower list!!!!
I am not a control freak or anything, but I absolutely insist on doing things the RIGHT way.

I would think that people who are invited to the Bridal Shower would be invited to the wedding. I'm sure they are going to assume that they are going to be invited, since they are invited to the shower.

Nope. The people who were invited to my bridal shower were ALSO invited to our wedding. I wrote up a guest list with names, addresses, e-mails and phone numbers given it to my MOH who planned my bridal shower. The people who attended were also invited to our wedding. We thought it was misleading and rude to invite to my shower and uninvite them to our wedding. IMHO.
If your FH's mother's guest list for the wedding did not receive an wedding invite but DID receive a bridal shower invite--send them a wedding invite. I think it's fair to invite them to the wedding since they're already invited to the shower, IMHO.

i 100% agree with everyone else. to just be invited to the shower, looks like you are looking for a gift, but they are not important enough to spend your big day with. this happened to me once, and i was pissed!!!! it was a co-worker no less!!
