Anyone used or using Brett Matthews for photo/video?
FH and I met with Rich last night a he was so nice. We loved their work and would love to book them. They were our first appt however so we'll have to wait to do a comparison. I just wanted to hear your opinions. I think they might be kind of $$$ also but not sure.
For 10.5 hours, 2 photographers, one lighting asst, one videographer, engagement photos, our quote was about $4700 for photo and $2700 for video (dvd package, vhs is $300 less). Guaranteed 600-700 proofs.
What do you all think? TIA!

That sounds about right, but whats included in the quote? I mean is it with thank us, or how many albums etc.
Do a search on Teri, she is the only bride on here I know that used them already. FM me with any questions!

We are using them and that is how much we are paying. They are expensive. We did look at other places. But I just love their work A lot. I was a photo major in college and everyplace I looked while they all had nice work I found someting I didnt like I am to picky I didnt find one thing with B rett M atthews. Good Luck.

Included in the quote are 3 albums (ours and 2 parent), 3 8x10s and 1 11x14. 100 thanks yous would be $300 more.

Your quote sounds perfect for them, I think its pretty close to mine and I booked them in 2002!
they are up there in price, but not as high as others. Look around, don't just get caught up with vendors on this site though!

How big and how many pics are in your album and in your parents albums?

That is a good amount - but find out how he charges if you add extra pictures to the album after the wedding - I know i am going to have a hard time picking 50 pics out of 700 - so you are going to want to know that tid bit - some places charge per picture....i dont know how B rett M atthews does this...

WE ARE USING THEM AND THAT WAS ABOUT THE PRICE WE WERE QUOTED TOO. I LOVE RICH!!! HE IS SO COOL. WE ARE NOT GETTING OUR VIDEO FROM THEM. WE BOOKED IT THROUGH OUR DJ, ABSOLUTE ENTERTAINMENT. THEIR DVD WAS THE BEST QUALITY WE SAW AND I THINK IT WAS ONLY $1595!!!! THEY DO CHAPTERS AND EVEN INCLUDE YOUR HONEYMOON PICS. MY FRIENDS USED BRETT M FOR THEIR PICS AND I WAS AMAZED AT THE QUALITY AND THE PROFFESSIONALISM. I ALSO WAS IMPRESSED THAT WE WERE GETTING 3 PEOPLE TO COME AND DO THE WEDDING.. THE 2 PHOTOGRAPHERS AND THE ASSISTANT. IF THEY QUOTED YOU 4700, JUST MAKE SURE THEY INCLUDE THE TAX. I WAS SUPREISED WHEN IT WAS AN ADDITIONAL $300 FOR TAX@!!!!!!
I AM REALLY EXCITED THAT I BOOKED THEM.
