Anyone know of any CHEAP caterers for an engagement party?

We need to have our engagement party catered. We originally planned on keeping it low-key, but we are already over a hundred people.....we rented a club room at fiance's co-op community and now have to feed a hundred people without breaking the bank.
Any suggestions?

What town is it in? We had Pizza Stop in Ronkonkoma cater ours. FH has been friends with the owner for years but the food was delicious and he was reasonably priced. FM me if you want more info.

This is what I did for mine...
I went to this deli on Stewart Ave. that is amazing it's called DC3. We ordered the sandwiches which are really gourmet (everyone remembered how good they were from my sister's eparty) and they come with salads (asian chicken bowtie - yukon gold pot. salad) Plus they deliver for a small fee (dep. on where you are)

Then I made a bunch of dips - had the chinese rest. make me 2 huge trays of thick fried noodles for dips & got alot of stuff at Price Club incl. wine & beer.

I made alot of the food ahead of time and froze it!

You can call Corrine's Concept in Catering - I was there yesterday to talk about my wedding. She was lovely and the food sounds great! She worked the numbers for me so we can try and do something...alot of people we in and out of there.

We used the local pizza place- shop around though. One place was about $5-10 higher per tray. We used Carlos in Shirley. Also, Stop & Shop has a great catereering dept. Check out their website.

Felico's in Farmingdale, I used them for our e-party. I highly recommend them. I have their info at home, I can FM you later you like.

Try looking in your local Pennysaver or Clipper. I noticed lots of Deli's/restaurants advertise catering specials in there with coupons.

we are using primavera catering on hicksville road in massapequa

for 85 people we are getting all papergoods, salads, breads, and 6 entrees, 2 pastas for about 8 dollars a person,


we also got a 10% off coupon on the back of our receipt at the grocery store which is great

Did you try Sundried Tomato? We had them for Mikayla's birthday one year and they were great! Not sure how much they charge though!
