Need great restaurant suggestions..please!
Hi! This monday is my 21st birthday, ( ok.. really 33 ), and I want to eat somewhere different, somewhere new, can anyone reccomend a nice place in the city, anyone been to Layla's, is it even still around?
Id appreciate any advice, cause its getting late to be making rservations..so I need to do it soon!

hell's kitchen- it's mexican, but not like fast food mexican. on 9th ave btw 46-47 or 47-48 i forgot. have a great birthday!

La Paella is my favorite restaurant...it is authentic Spanish...and the ambiance is great...
you shouldn't need reservations...but you can make them...
9th btwn 2nd and 3rd aves...

Layla is great, but the last time I ate there was 4 years ago, ! I remember the food was good, the drinks were great and the ambiance and decor festive and certainly suitable for a birthday celebration!

Apparently Layla reopened in 2002 w/ touched up decor & more Mediterranean-focused menu. (so says Time Out NY magazine)

What's wrong with being 33?
Anyways.. if you like a small, intimate place that reminds you of being in Paris.. try Gascogne on 8th Avenue + 17th or 18th St.

I love the Blue Water Grill for fish. Coppola's is also good Italian. and I LOOOOVEEEE Tao for asian food.

LOVE TAO!!!
Took Dh there for his B-day and I have been there sooooo many times.
Here are my favorites:
1. Chilean Sea Bass
2. Hoisin Chicken Explosion
3. Kung Pao Chicken
4. Kobe Beef- YUMMY!!!!!!!
Get a Tao tini.
Also the dumplings for appetizers.
Can't you tell I love this place???

I suggest going to Blue Water Grill in Union Square if you like seafood. SO yummy!!!
