What kind of album...

What kind of album's are you getting? I have seen the digital soho type books...which I love...but I also like the traditional type ones with the bound pages. My photographer says I can decide later...or change my mind. Any opionions???? Thanks.

Re: What kind of album...

keep in mind - soho book does raise your cost of album about another 1000 or so from what Patken told me. Most of these books have a metel front.. i think that was another 250-500.. not sure

Re: What kind of album...

I'm getting a digital coffee table book. (I assume it's the same as a soho, but my photographer doesn't call it that.) I love them!! I felt like if I really wanted the traditional, I could make it myself.

True about making a traditionaly yourself

and soho and coffee table book are the same

Luv: does your photographer offer this service? or you saw it and might swtich photographers? Patken has serval books of soho on display including the one you just saw. it might be worth the visit to see in preson

My photographer says he can get this for me if I want it....he has done a few of them, but doesn't usually offer them without special request. So...I requested that he get me some pricing!

Re: What kind of album...

Just to give you an idea...the photographers I looked at were asking $1000-1600 for the soho book.

ask who they use.....
the website you saw the example of..the photographer works with them to produce your book...templetes and things like that. they must be in contract with them. we as reg ppl can't do any business with them

but that price sounds right depending on picture count

Re: What kind of album...

Well...I am paying about $1500 for the traditional album with about 50 pics. So...if I trade that for the soho book...it should be about the same..... That might work.

Re: What kind of album...

an avg book will have 60 pictures in it....
most books have 80-100

ask about how much more picutres are...

the example shown at website..Patken told me it was about 100 pics

this so u get an idea of size

and remember...tell him what you want..since it's ditigal, the sky is the limit..if you think of it, it's possible that it can be done. Patken told us to start writing ideas for our book even before the wedding (we forget easyly)
