Reception Dance Music

We would like to have a large variety of club/hip-hop music. Does anyone have some songs to reccommend. I always hear songs on the radio but don't know what the name is or the artist.

Re: Reception Dance Music

I'm big on club music, but I don't feel its appropriate to have most of the wedding have that music...I thought about have a set of that music....cuz lets face the older folks won't enjoy it...my mom says that club music sounds like pots and pans ...silly older folks

Re: Reception Dance Music

I agree with not playing club music the majority of the time. Yes, it is your wedding and you should have what you want, BUT you are hosting a party for others to enjoy as well. My FH and I are going to play music that everyone can enjoy for most of the night and then the last 1/2 hour or so we'll have some music that the older people may not enjoy, but we will, and so will our friends.

Re: Reception Dance Music

i'm with everyone else about club music at a wedding not being entirely appropriate, but to scatter through the night is better only becuase you want to make everyone feel like they belong. HOWEVER, and please don't laugh if this is cheesy, but the cd Fired Up has lots of songs, and google it to see the play list. also, tower records has a whole section for this type of music. may have some that you want and know.
