Good idea for outdoor summer weddings.
Hi there. We are HOPEFULLY having an outdoor wedding, but we do have a backup plan. however, if it is hot and sunny, we want our guests to be comfortable, so i thought about paper fans and found them on oriental trading. they are really cheap, and if it is one per couple, it would still be less than 40 dollars!

We are hoping to have an outdoor ceremony too and my co-worker suggested getting chinese umbrellas in different colors to block the sunlight - I think it will look beautiful!

I am doing program fans. They are a little expensive, about $3-$4 a fan, but only for half my guests. I'm getting regular matching programs for the men.

oriental trading has the parasols, too. but they are in multi colors and a little beyond my budgets desires. also, someone said they might block the view for other guests, although i'd be up for it to keep the guests cool. either way, i also like the idea of program fans. where on earth do you get those?

i had paper fans and tied the ribbon that had our names on it around them. They were definitely a hit and people were using them. Another good idea is a Dove Release, that was also a hit at my wedding. I can't stop talking about it!!!

My friend made program fans for their wedding in Jamaica. She bought this really nice floral paper and made a small program on one side. The other side she used a more vibrant flower and used a glue stick to stick the 2 pages together and put a craft stick in between. They came out really nice and were WAY cheaper then ordering them.

Do you think it would be stupid to do for an AUGUST NIGHT wedding? It will be at 6:45, so most likely still be hot, but not sunny...
