Question about time on invites
I am getting married at my reception hall. The ceremony starts at 5:30. When I called the hall and asked what time to put on the invitations they said "5:30 prompt". However, i feel prompt isn't an appropriate way to put it on a formal invitation. any ideas as to what I should do?

Re: Question about time on invites
i say put 5:30.....we are getting married at the hall also, and we put the time the ceremony starts on the invite. and then we includeda card that says the reception will be immediately following the ceremony...hopefully people will take the hint that they should be on time!!

Re: Question about time on invites
Ceremony to begin at 5:30 or Ceremony at 5:30. If you notice that not all the guests have arrived then wait a few minutes to begin the ceremony.

Re: Question about time on invites
We are getting married at the hall also. The ceremony starts at 4:00pm, we put 3:30pm on the invite. We have the Royal Brass playing too from 3:30 till the ceremony starts. We just know that people will be late and I would rather they not walk into the ceremony. At the end of the invite we put 'Reception immediately following'

Re: Question about time on invites
I like Jen's idea (music 1/2 prior to the ceremony.) Make sure that you clear this w/ the hall before sending out the invites to read 4:30.
