My Budget Vendor page for newbies
Hi all!
I have this webpage of vendors I've compiled that are priced lower than normal wedding vendors. Some of them are just starting out, some of them aren't "wedding" vendors but professionals in other fields, and some of them are just priced lower. I've tried to screen them all for quality.
Budget Page
People people have used or booked with good feedback to me personally include:
Donald Hedgecock, Florist
Lynda Lane, Makeup artist
Colorblind Productions, DJ
Lina Jang, Photographer
Rider Photography
Peter Jacobsen, Photographer
Judy Schiller, Photographer
Twelfth Night Photography
High Voltage Sounds, DJ
Third Planet Video (although she hasn't gotten her edit back yet)

I'm talking to Randi Cecchine and Third Planet Video. I'm also getting demo from a bunch of other people, but I'm screening them now and I'll put up more people as I find them.

Ever think of renaming the "Budget Page" and calling them something other than "Budget Vendors"? I find that when presented that way, sometimes it comes off sounding "cheap". If these individuals provide quality work at a good price, think you could reword it to reflect that?
The only reason I am saying this is because I got annoyed with a vendor once who was attempting to sell me his "budget package". It's not that I couldn't afford the other items he was trying to sell me, it was that I personally did not value the quality for the price! He made me feel cheap, and I wanted to tell him to go stuff it!
This is totally JUST MY OPINION. I have followed your posts and think you have GREAT cost cutting ideas, but at the same time it sounds like you have found GOOD PEOPLE who don't charge an arm and a leg, and provide quality service.

"Inexpensive" maybe? I don't know, I don't want to say "cheap" and I don't want to say "Don't cost an arm and a leg" either. I chose the word "budget" because in the end it seemed the most apt. Also because most people are trying to stay in a budget who use the list. Any other thoughts on this? Any other words?

i don't know, if i did i would tell you...
it's a tough one, maybe it's just me, but whenever i see your link i get flashbacks to the vendor who annoyed me til no end!
i do agree that it is a good keyword for those who are looking, but does it have a negative connotation for the vendors? i have no clue.
i'll sleep on it and let you know if i come up with anything...
keep up the good research!
