Table Cameras and Scavenger hunt - what is it and do people participate?

Can someone tell me how this works? Has anyone planned to do this and the guests didn't participate? It sounds fun - the little I know about it

Thank you!

From what I understand, with each table camera you include a list of "moments" for the guests to try and capture with the cameras. Things like "groom telling a joke" or "guest dancing with a child" -- I'm not very creative as you can tell but you get the idea.

I know my family wouldn't participate so I probably wouldn't bother with it, but it sounds like fun if your guests are the type to get into it.

I think the whole idea is that you assign certain pictures to certain tables to make sure you get all the shots you want and no duplicates. I am seriously considering doing this, but I'm also concerned that the guests might not be into it.....

Re: Table Cameras and Scavenger hunt - what is it and do people participate?

I did this. Some tables participated and some didn't. I had wrappped all the table cameras in little bags with a note attached with 5 pictures/moments for each table to capture - some nice and some silly. Many tables just ripped open the bags and started using the cameras...not seeing the note at all or not until later in the night. The ones that did follow the list - got me some great shots and some that are hysterical. I posted all my poems and lists a long time ago - so if you search back with my name - you can probably find lots of info. One good thing about the list is to try and prevent tons of the same pictures - otherwise you gets tons of picture of you and the cake, first dance, parent dances etc.

But it was really fun. I had my boss searching for pictures of someone with a tattoo. My mom and aunts - decided to capture - woman in the men's room (hysterical). My brother almost got kicked out trying to get a picture of the chef in the kitchen. My college roommates dragged DH into the ladies room to get man in the ladies room. (those were my funny shots). but I also did things like everyone at the table (photographer doesn't always get that) and things like the centerpiece, bride and groom holding hands, bride's shoes, etc.

Re: Table Cameras and Scavenger hunt - what is it and do people participate?

I actually talked to Soon2bmrz about this the other day.

I am going to have 5 kids under the age of 10 at the wedding and was thinking instead of giving them the same favors as the adults I was going to make them goodie bags with silly things to keep them occupied. My plan was to include... Coloring books, crayons, and little toys but also add a camera and a mini hunt for them to do.

Some of the ideas soon2bemrz gave were:
picture of something round
something tall
a person with a pink dress
your favorite food
a orange flower
Things in that order..
I am going to make sure I have their names on each camera and get doubles of those cameras only and make a mini photo album for them instead of a regular thank you card.

It seems like going over board but I really dont want to see these kids running around the dance floor all night and screaming and yelling. Just want to keep them as busy and calm as possible.
Good luck
