Table Cameras and Scavenger hunt - what is it and do people participate?
Can someone tell me how this works? Has anyone planned to do this and the guests didn't participate? It sounds fun - the little I know about it
Thank you!

Re: Table Cameras and Scavenger hunt - what is it and do people participate?
From what I understand, with each table camera you include a list of "moments" for the guests to try and capture with the cameras. Things like "groom telling a joke" or "guest dancing with a child" -- I'm not very creative as you can tell but you get the idea.
I know my family wouldn't participate so I probably wouldn't bother with it, but it sounds like fun if your guests are the type to get into it.

Re: Table Cameras and Scavenger hunt - what is it and do people participate?
I found some scavenger hunt lists on the knot. Sorry, this will be very long!
Group photo of everyone at your table Maid of Honor & Best Man entering the reception Fourth Bridesmaid & Groomsman entering the reception Parents of the Groom entering the reception Best Man Speech Bride & Groom feeding each other cake The head table when everyone is seated Bride & Groom sipping champagne The garter catcher placing the garter on bouquet catcher Flower girl(s) dancing/twirling Wedding Party dancing Bride watching Groom from a distance Groom playing with his new ring Picture of the DJ In-laws having cocktails The cutest kid Best Dancer Neatest hair Person who came the shortest distance The couple who's been married the longest 2 men dancing together Group photo of everyone at your table Bride and groom holding hands Groom watching bride from distance Bride and groom’s first dance Groom and bride laughing Bride watching groom from distance Close up of the bustle on the bride’s dress Bride and groom kissing Close up of the bride and groom Bride and groom sipping champagne Bride and Groom thinking no one is watching Bride batting the veil out of her face Groom playing with his new ring Bride talking to a guest Groom talking to a guest A romantic glance between the bride and groom Groom dancing with someone other than the bride Bride dancing with someone other than the groom The groom whispering in the bride’s ear
Cutest older couple Someone without shoes Friends enjoying each other The “Life of the Party” Most Hilarious Expression People other than the bride and groom kissing Quietest guest Youngest guest Messiest cake eater Best dancer Father of the bride watching his daughter Mother of the bride watching the father/daughter dance Mother of the bride crying A hug between friends Next couple to get married Someone who has had too much to drink Silly expressions Old people dancing Everyone dancing The line at the bar The wedding party dancing Catch the smokers in the act Primping in the bathroom Worst dancer Laughter Most casual outfit Look-alikes A woman in the men’s room Someone UNDER the table! Signing the Guest book FG & RB dancing
I think the whole idea is that you assign certain pictures to certain tables to make sure you get all the shots you want and no duplicates. I am seriously considering doing this, but I'm also concerned that the guests might not be into it.....

Re: Table Cameras and Scavenger hunt - what is it and do people participate?
I did this. Some tables participated and some didn't. I had wrappped all the table cameras in little bags with a note attached with 5 pictures/moments for each table to capture - some nice and some silly. Many tables just ripped open the bags and started using the cameras...not seeing the note at all or not until later in the night. The ones that did follow the list - got me some great shots and some that are hysterical. I posted all my poems and lists a long time ago - so if you search back with my name - you can probably find lots of info. One good thing about the list is to try and prevent tons of the same pictures - otherwise you gets tons of picture of you and the cake, first dance, parent dances etc.
But it was really fun. I had my boss searching for pictures of someone with a tattoo. My mom and aunts - decided to capture - woman in the men's room (hysterical). My brother almost got kicked out trying to get a picture of the chef in the kitchen. My college roommates dragged DH into the ladies room to get man in the ladies room. (those were my funny shots). but I also did things like everyone at the table (photographer doesn't always get that) and things like the centerpiece, bride and groom holding hands, bride's shoes, etc.

Re: Table Cameras and Scavenger hunt - what is it and do people participate?
I actually talked to Soon2bmrz about this the other day.
I am going to have 5 kids under the age of 10 at the wedding and was thinking instead of giving them the same favors as the adults I was going to make them goodie bags with silly things to keep them occupied. My plan was to include... Coloring books, crayons, and little toys but also add a camera and a mini hunt for them to do.
Some of the ideas soon2bemrz gave were: picture of something round something tall a person with a pink dress your favorite food a orange flower Things in that order.. I am going to make sure I have their names on each camera and get doubles of those cameras only and make a mini photo album for them instead of a regular thank you card.
It seems like going over board but I really dont want to see these kids running around the dance floor all night and screaming and yelling. Just want to keep them as busy and calm as possible. Good luck
