Wedding gown with red blotches...

A Post for the Vendors...

Two weeks ago, I had my first fitting at the Carle Place Bridal Reflections. There was a stain on my dress....and the dress was two sizes too small. They removed the stain...and send me home. I was 'ok' at that point.

Yesterday, was my second fitting. And guess what, the dress had various red blotches throughtout the back of the gown. The attendant idenitifed it as blood....as well as the seamstres who concluded to tell me that she pricks her fingers all the time. WELL SO NOW I AM STANDING IN A BLOODY WEDDING GOWN. I felt disgusted....the General Manager eventually came over...and asked me "what color lipstick are you wearing" (none)...then she inspected my personal markings on my arm and asked me if they were pin marks. I replied and told her, that this was my "body' . I was humiliated, and very disappointed.

I have gone twice for fittings. Both times the dress appears, used, tattered and soiled. I love the designer ....she makes the most elegant dresses. However, I am not sure that Yolanda Couture dresses should be shown with filth on the back of it .


I left the store and my mother decided that she wanted to call. She eventually , after the General Manager was twisting the story around, asked the General Manager if she could compensate in the price. Her reply was "absolutely not' ...I asked to talk to this heartless lady one more time and she accused me to only be interested in the money lol My wedding is costing my fh and I a lot of money, this dress while is expensive, because of the quality....is not making a difference in the expense of our wedding. I was appalled and insulted that, she would speak to anyone like that,

I hope this time the post is not removed. This is a horrible situation for me. I am heartbroken and at a lost as what to do next. My wedding is in 27 more days.

Any support or advice, is greatly appreciated.

I am sorry this is happening right before your wedding. Everybride should put on her gown and fell like a princess.

I can not offer any advice because I do not do gowns and do not know much about the process.

But, I hope they can resolve this situation and you are your FH have the wedding of your dreams.

I too have no words of great wisdom. That is a terrible thing to happen. I only hope that everything falls into place for you and your FI and you have a wonderful day.

Can you check on your dress to see if the stains are out? To make your mind at ease.
