I went to one 2 weeks ago, a cousin, and I gave a check.

Re: What is a good Christening gift?

I use to give a check but now I give a savings bond. I still give the same amount I would have given in a check but by the time they will use it, it will double.

Re: What is a good Christening gift?

I'm all about the savings bond.. I would rather give something in the child's name.. and it is something they can use later on..

Re: What is a good Christening gift?

If it's a friend, I think a $100 bond ($50 gift) is appropriate. For a family member, I would definitely get at least a $200 bond.
