Found this on the knot.com - VIP photographers:
If I can give any of you soon to be brides some solid advice it's don't use VIP Studios. We were married last summer. It's been seven months and our albums still aren't ready (there's always, and I mean always, some type of excuse). The majority of our picutres are dark, some weren't focused (beware of their experimentation with digital photography) and there are no good groups shots with the bridal party. They will tell you that only the proofs look bad and the pics will be touched up for your album--that's a bunch of b@@@. One of the pics that we picked for our albums (unfortunately it was the shot with my hubby's parents-the only shot we had with them) was totally out of focus--something we didn't notice until it was blown up. The worst thing is they knew it looked bad and still tried to pass it off as acceptable. All in all bad experience and it's still not over. VIP is unprofessional. They don't comprehend the idea of customer service.

We used VIP for both photo and video and they have been nothing since great since the day we booked them. The pictures were great, our albums were done so fast and we all loved them, and our DVD was the best. Just wanted to post in case there are girls that have booked VIP and now might be worried

I booked with VIP and now I am nervous! can you tell me which photographers you dealt with? I have requested John to be the main photographer.
Has anyone else heard of bad reviews of VIP?

Not for nothing, but I wouldn't worry if I were a VIP bride (which I'm not). EVERY vendor will have complaints. Go with your gut.

I'm a happy VIP bride - we used them for both photos and video - I would use them over and over again if I could. We got over 800 proofs!!!
don't worry about what over people say, everyone has bad experience with some vendor or another. I had a bad experience with a very popular photographer on this board. If you like the persons work/style than go for it!
