Yet another invite question re: envelope ink
I'm going have computer calligraphy done on my inner and outer envelopes. My invites, reception cards, rsvp card, etc. were written in grey ink. Should I do both the inner and outer envelope in grey or black ink or do one in black and one in grey? Thanks!
FYI:It's only 10 cents more per envelope set to have them done in grey ink. I don't care about paying the extra 10cents, but want to make sure they look good and formal.

Re: Yet another invite question re: envelope ink
Thanks! I'll probably get them in black also. I'm afraid you won't see the grey on the envelope. Was the return address on your outer envelope in grey ink? I haven't gotten my invites yet and I didn't ask about that

Re: Yet another invite question re: envelope ink
Ok thanks! I thought the grey might be too light.

Re: Yet another invite question re: envelope ink
We are doing hand calligraphy but our invites are navy blue ink - so the calligrapher will match that color.
I think it depends on what color the envelope is and how light the gray is - you could do a darker almost charcoal gray if needed if you don't want to do black too. (do you have a photo)
etd to say that there is NOTHING wrong with black I think it will look fine - just wanted to give you another option if you wanted the gray

Re: Yet another invite question re: envelope ink
Marcela, I did the same exact thing. I matched the inner envelope with the invites which were silver/gray ink. The outer envelope I did in black. I'm not sure if this is "right" but it looked best.
