I just heard on the news that the wind chill is going to be 30 degrees below zero. How are the roads out there?

No way, I think they'll be wide open! Especially before a three day weekend.

The side roads in Bayside Queens are still really bad

Yeah Bayside is bad! I work there and it was really bad all day. All the side streets seem horrid! With this cold, we will have ice forever!

All catholic schools here in Queens are already closed for tomorrow due to severe cold. My brother had off today and now tomorrow too!

I dont get it..hs kids cant go out in the cold but 4 year olds can?!?! INSANE!

The schools out here in RI were cancelled for tomorrow at 2 this afternoon! they are scared of having kids standing outside in -40 (with the wind chill) weather! Its the first time EVER! BRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...its -4 right now...sposed to be a low of -5, but I think its gonna pass that!

I wanna know what it takes for public schools to close in Queens! Once again I have work. They are saying no one should be out there for more than 10 minutes at a time and children have to travel to school?? I am really upset by this!!!!!!!!!! Its tooooooooo cold!

no delay for us either-- and I would just like to thank the our school board and whom evers brother it was for installing all the new and ugly glass blocks in our hallway that have NO INSALLATION!!! I know the hallways will be like ice and I will need my jacket just to go into the bathroom-- so THANK YOU!

2-hour delay for me. Im glad, because I dont want to lose those days in May
