Anyone know of a good day spa? Maybe on the Island, not in the city?
My dad wants to send my mom for a day of beauty type thing for her birthday. We don't think she'll like the packages that Gurney's offers. Anyone know anywhere else???? Thanks!

I loved the facials at Maximus. But i didn't like the massages. Other treatments were great though

The only problem is we live on the east end of the island, and my father doesn't want her to have to travel far after her treatment. Which is understandable. If it were up to me, I'd go with Nordstrom's, but my father said it's too far for her to have to go. Thanks for the info girls!

Hmmmm, I will have to check it out.
I know there is one on 25 right before William Floyd Pkwy. I know my sister has used them and liked it. I can't for the life of me figure out the name. The shopping center has a 24 hour market in it. Do you know where I'm talking about?

25 or 25A? I used to live right by william floyd on 25, but now I live past william floyd on25A, so it's ALL just CONFUSING The website says that the Atlantis in Shoreham is located on North Country Rd. Hmmm.....I need to think.....

Rach, try the Spa at St. Tropez, in Port Jeff. I've had a pedicure and paraffin manicure there, but they also have massages and facials and stuff. It's very nice and relaxing, but a bit pricey, although I'm sure all of them are!

Try the Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa/Salon in Huntington. It's located in Saks Fifth Avenue at the Walt Whitman Mall.
