Listen to this idea, very cute to do for your mom, and FMIL, tell me if you like??
I wanted to do something really sweet for my mom.. I thought about dedicating a song, or writing a note in the program..but.. it didn't seem like enough.. SO I decided to, have the dj, announce to my mom, and FMIL that my FI and I would like to Dedicate "wind beneath my wings" to them, and I'll dance with my mom, and he can dance with his mom, and during our dance, I will have pictures of me and mymom, and FI and his mom, on the projector, a mantage, but while we're dancing.. do you like that idea??/

I like the montage idea. My place has a videoscreen but we aren't using it. I will FM you details.

I think it's a beautiful tribute to your Mom and FMIL. It doesn't have to last long to be meaningful and they will be thoroughly touched by it. You are a lovely girl to think of doing that.

I think it would be nice if you just dance with your mom alone. The groom is going to have his dance with his mother anyway. I don't know if I like the montage idea. We are doing a montage of us as a couple from children to adults. I don't know if u are doing that also but 2 montages would be overkill.

I think the sentiment is sweet, but thinking of it from a guests perspective it seems somewhat contrived. Let your FH have his dance with his mom just as you have your dance with your dad. I'd have the baby/growing up pictures scattered in frames all around the hall so people can enjoy them all throughout the evening.

I like the idea of the song dedication and the photo montage but I'm not crazy the idea of you dancing with your mom. It sounds a little awkward to me and might make the guests feel a little awkward about it too. My suggestion is for you to dedicate the song during dinner and play the montage.
