Post your favorite low carb recipes
I did a search and can't find any...
I know there are a lot on the internet, but I want to know how they are from people who actually tried them

Re: Post your favorite low carb recipes
I make this casserole type thing with fried & drained ground beef, mozzerella & ricotta cheese and tomatoe sauce and then bake. It's similar to ziti but without the pasta. YUMMY!!!
Disclaimer....it looks really really gross but it tastes really really good!!

Re: Post your favorite low carb recipes
I mostly wing it and make enough to fill a lasagne pan:
Ground Beef - 3 - 4 pounds One pound mozzerella cheese shredded or cubed (less if you don't want it really cheesy or more if you like it really cheesy:) Ricotta cheese - the small container (15 or 16 oz) Sauce - I never measured - enough to cover everything.
Fry the beef in a pan and let it drain in a collander.
Mix everything in the lasagne pan. Bake at 375 until the cheese melts or starts to brown a bit on top (your preference).
It can be pretty greasy when it's cooked - I usually soak up extra oil with paper towels.
It freezes really well! And I heat it up in the microwave.
I make marinara sauce in batches that I calculated to not be too bad on carbs so I use that. I think there are some sauces on the market that have no sugar but I never tried it.
It's one of those really hard to mess up recipes - sometimes I bake it at 450 sometimes I use less cheese, etc.
