Looking for a great band!
Hi all,
I'm looking for a band for our March 27th evening wedding at Tribeca Rooftop (lower Manhattan).
We are looking for a very professional, tight sound with horns, one male singer, one female...8-9 pieces total. Music will be primarily big band, swing, and standards (Sinatra, Dean Martin, Ella F., Etta J., etc.) with a little bit of funk/R&B added to the mix, so definitely looking for talented musicians and a couple of great voices.
No 80s/90s/current, no dance music, no (or very little) rock-n-roll, no cheese, no-one who has EVER played the macarena or the electric slide (you know what I mean?  )
We also need a jazz duo or trio for cocktail hour and are looking for ceremony music as well (strings or maybe classical guitar). If you can provide all of these, that's great, but I understand if we need to look elsewhere for the ceremony music.
We've already gotten some good quotes from bands we like (I guess ours is a "slow" day?), but I don't want to make a decision without yet knowing who else is out there!

Your wedding sounds very elegant and Tribecca is a nice location. I wish I could be personally available but my band is already booked for the date. I sent you forum email about one of the other bands from my office that might fit your needs.
