MAN OF HONOR GIFT??
I have my male cousin taking the place of the traditional maid of honor(MAN OF HONOR). I have no idea what to get him as a gift, any ideas? I don't want to get him the same gift as the grooms men.

Re: MAN OF HONOR GIFT??
my brother is my man of honor for my january 9th 2004 wedding and i made him a basket of cheer. he does a lot of entertaining at his house so i bought a big wicker landry basket at michaels and filled it with bar type items. i bought him a cocktail shaker and a 10 piece bar set in linens n things for 10 dollars each. i also included a blender i bought on sale and a few bottles of booze. the skys the limit depending on your budget. think of his favorite hobbie or sports team and just run with it. you have enough time that you can watch the sales and buy a little thing every couple of weeks. my brother loved the idea. im giving my groomsman wallets from kenneth cole i got on ebay for 15 dollars included shipping and im putting movie gift cards.
Good Luck

How about a really nice watch or timepiece? At least he would be on time!

Re: MAN OF HONOR GIFT??
I like all your ideas I think the real problem is that my cousin has money because he is on TV now. For christmas I felt stupid giving him his gift, I felt I had to spend more money because of his fame now. I know he knows I dont have that kind of money but I feel that way. I had asked him to be my man of honor before he became famous and now I have other concerns if my guest are going to be more attentive to him then me on my special day.We shall see

Re: MAN OF HONOR GIFT??
i wouldnt worry no one is more important then the bride on her wedding day.
unless he has changed completely in the short time he has been on t.v i doubt he is all caught up and effected. im sure that he would be happy with anything that you give him especially if its something original and well thought out.
if your close enough to ask him to be your man of honor then you are close so think about his interests. if he is famous now maye he would like a really nice organizer to keep all his numbers and appointments in. i would even think about making him a scrap book with things about you two in it. you could put pictures and type up stories and maybe movie stubs or things of that nature. this way way no matter how far away from home he is he can always think of you and him.
sometimes the best gifts are from the heart and not that expensive. he can buy himself costly gifts you get to be more creative. I wouldnt worry about it him being the center of attention either im sure he wouldnt let that happen he knows its your day. im enclosing a pic of me dancing with my man of honor
