Hey March Brides...

How is everyone doing with planning? Is everything almost done? I feel like I have so many little things to do! When are you going for your dress fittings?

I am ready to go!!! The only thing I have to do is get our rings. I sent out the invitations yesterday. I already have my dress in the house. I bought it and I am lucky. It fit PERFECT. No alterations!! Just waiting for the big day!!! Very nervous. You are a week after me.

No Babe, I didnt!! I can't get married in a church. My FH has already been married in a Catholic church. We were going to get it annulled however I didnt think it was worth it. I will be having a catholic priest marry us at the reception hall. So I will have the ceremony there.
I guess I should still make a program book of some sort, huh? What do you think?

I just finished my invitations and will mail them tomorrow!!! I am so excited!!! I have my first fitting at the end of January. I already tried on the dress and it's too big! Phew! I still have to do rings, favors, license, gm gifts, programs... ack! And keep paying the vendors (my least favorite)!

I've yet to find someone to do my fittings!!! I still have to pick up the MOH dress from David's when it comes in, pay stuff off, do the music list, wrap the BM gifts...order the GM gifts, finalize flower colors and types, make the c-pieces and garland for our hall, finish the quilts for MOH and Grandma, do menu for wedding and RD, do the cake, pick tuxes, counselign with the pastor, hair and makeup trial, book flight and hotel room for the pastor and his wife (they are coming from Cali)

Ann, welcome aboard. You should go onto BHB and tell everyone about your wedding details, how you got engaged, etc.

Hey!!! I'm getting excited and nervous! When I get stressed, I eat. I just gained back the 15lbs. I had lost! HERE WE GO AGAIN!! Oh well...I have incentive now...3 months!

I will send my invites out sometime around the 15th or so. I also need rings and my FH needs to look at Tux's.

IT IS COMING SO FAST!!!

We spent all of last Friday stuffing envelopes and talking about how the wedding is around the corner. I am tyring to figure out my hair style, I have had 2 trials so far, and still not happy when i look at the pictures. We are picking our menu in a few weeks, and invites are going out the 2nd week in january-due to the fact that our wedding is 1 week b4 easter and Passover. We really have it all under control. I cannot believe I am going to be a Mrs. soon!!!

We are getting the invatations ready. I had to reorder responce envelopes so im waiting for them, and Im waiting for the stamp sets to come in the mail. Its a set that comes with one 60 cent stamp and one 37 cent stamp. my make up trial is the 19th and the hair person told me to call in February for a march trial, but I think I want to do it sooner. The dress palce told me to call in january for a february fitting. we are still working out the reharsal. the pastor wants to do it after church on saturday, (about 7-730), but there are so many kids we are afraid it will be to late and we will have a bunch of cranky kids the next day for the wedding. I have to call him this week and ask him if we can have it saturday afternoon. OMG! I cant beleive it came so fast.

Happy 2004! It is our year girls! Tomorrow the invites go out! Can't wait to see replys come back...in fact I can't wait to be on the dance floor with my FH and have all this planning over with!

Look at all us March brides. With everything accomplished I cant believe there is still more to do. Do you ever notice how when you do something it is never done, it requires two or three more trips to complete it!
For example:
1) fittings
2) ordered Ketubah-need to pick up
3) brought in engagement proofs, need to pick up 8x10
4) orderd FG dresses, need to be picked up

It is just one of those annoying things.
Oh well, I will do everything with a smile!

Not sure if any of you are from Queens, but my rehearsal dinner is going to be at Monahan and Fitzgerald's off of Bell Blvd.

I am starting to panic now! I still have to get all the address for my guest list so I can get them out by the end of the month. We still need rings and his tux and I have to get the favors wrapped. I am most worried about all the money we have pay out between the apartment we are going into, the wedding and the honeymoon. When do you have to reserve a place for the rehearsal dinner? I still don't know when my rehearsal is, I have never spoken to the priest yet.

You should be figuring out when your rehearsal is and start looking around at places soon.

I agree, the rehearsal should be a priority. the tuxes are easy once you pick a place. FH and I spend 2 hours at After Hours and that was it.

As for RD location, we are having ours at Bertuccis in Melville.

still no decision on the rehearsal dinner...I have to call the pastor today and see if we can change the reharsal to the afternoon before we can pick a place. invatations are ready to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just have to be addressed!

There is an Italian resturant on old country road across from cvs and some craft store.. It is the strip next to checkers.. They serve family style.. Friends of ours took us there when we got engaged the food was great.. and there was a rehersal dinner there when we left.. I will try to find out the name...
