Wacky we went to one Saturday night in Baldwin Harbor, it was amazing and they do it to support cystic fibrosis (you can donate $$ there).

It's on Bertha Dr in baldwin Harbor.

Oh and pls FM me the address to the place you are going to today, John has it all boxed at work to send fedex or UPS. Sorry I didn't catch ya this weekend.

Homes are aglow with decorations from 8-foot-tall, blow-up Santas to hand-crafted figures. Our annual look at some of these eye-catching celebrations appears in next Sunday's LI Life. Here are a few samples to get you started:

Mickey Belkin and George Scocca,

7 Chassyl Rd., Commack

Almost every decoration adorning the house and gracing the lawn was created with plywood and a jigsaw by Belkin and Scocca. The panoply of figures, 3 to 4 feet high, includes Santas, deer, foxes and snowmen. Six-foot wooden candy canes adorn the sides of the house. All are hand-painted. A life-sized Santa Claus on the stoop welcomes visitors.

Haake Family, 3 Blossom St., Dix Hills

The front of the home features an array of lawn decorations including a blow-up Santa Claus and snowman. Colored lights glow on the porch, while out front a Christmas tree twinkles with tiny white bulbs. Large red bows are on the porch, too. The driveway is flanked by candy canes. Mark Cohen said his mother, Barbara Haake, and her sister, Sandra Egerton, shared the task of creating the spectacle.



Mongiello Family, 36 Club Lane, Levittown

Two 8-foot wooden soldiers stand at attention by the archway at the end of the driveway. Five smaller plastic soldiers send a glow across the walkway. A wire angel, with moveable wings swathed in white lights, is on the front lawn. Three animated small houses feature an ice-skating rink with Charlie Brown and Lucy along with a snowman and snowlady, Mr. and Mrs. Claus with puppies, and a gingerbread man and woman.



Maniaci Family, 25 Leach St., Lynbrook

Blow-ups of Mickey Mouse, two snowmen, Santa Claus and two polar bears are on the front lawn. A 6-foot plastic singing Santa Claus waves his hands and moves back and forth on top of the stairs leading into the two-story house. Another Santa rides a train carrying presents. Arches of candy canes are over the walkway, and other candy canes light up the lawn perimeter. A suspended Santa appears to be traveling from the street-side basketball hoop to a window atop the house.

There's a place on Waterview Ave (off of Rockaway Ave) in Oceanside that is always lit up like crazy. It's not bad.

I think the guy on Oceanside Rd between Foxhurst and Long Beach Rd still does the town of Bethlehem (started by his father, overall it's been there for over 20 years).

For Bronxites, there's a house on (or off, it's like the "service road" on Pelham Pkwy). It's always lit up to the hilt. I don't know if you can see it from Pelham Pkwy, I found it one year when I took I-95 S to the Hutchinson Parkway exit and then right off that exit ramp is an exit for Pelham Parkway.

we went last week to two in deer park, they are both beautiful. they are right off deer park ave. one is on kime street and one is on gleeland st.

There was a house last year off of Sunrise heading north on William floyd parkway that actually uses the garage with dozens of figures. I know it is a little far out but if you are in the area it is neat to see.

I dont know if you want to go to brooklyn? but when we were little my parents took us every year on flatlands ave/rockway parkway to this - I think its a funeral home
its so pretty w/ the lights and dolls and giant santas and stuff, you cant miss it if you ride by
