I can only comment on Russo's because I have gone to two weddings there. The food is GREAT!!!! But I know it is pricey per head!

Re: Opinions on these halls.....
I have been to a couple of weddings at Villa Lombardi's and if I wanted a bigger wedding that's where I would have gone because the food, the staff, the place is absolutely perfect.

Re: Opinions on these halls.....
Hi I went to see Russo's on the Bay and Leonards of Great Neck. I've never been to a wedding at Russo's but every1 I hear from says the food is delicious, they were also very nice and the place is pretty inside. Didn't go there beacuse...I'm not having a huge wedding, and I felt their smaller room was too small for me (about 100 guests) and their min for the other rooms was too high for a Saturday evening. Leonard's was absolutely breathtaking, I still love the place, but it was a bit out of the way for most of my guest who will becoming from brooklyn, staten island, new jersey, bronx, ect. They're prices were about the same maybe 90 pp plus tax and tip for the biggest menus i've ever seen at a wedding. Good luck.

Re: Opinions on these halls.....
If you love food, Russo's is the place. Sometimes you can get a 'bargain' at Russo's my friend got married there three years ago, Saturday afternoon in June and only paid 65 per person. The interior of Russo's is quite nice...it's a bit of a 'party atmosphere' 'modern decor' ...Leonards has been renovated at I heard it's beautiful. However, Russo's food has always been way above Leonard's. Haven't been to Villa Lombardi's but their location looks beautiful and I heard the food is comparable to Russo's. Russo's ...while beautiful , is in an undesirable location on crossbay blvd...and although it faces the bay , it's a polluted Queens Bay lol

Re: Opinions on these halls.....
I went to a wedding at Marina Del Rey in the Bronx. I don't know the price, and besides my friend got a deal because she knew the owner. It's very nice and the food was good (I don't remember it being out of this world but I don't remember it being horrible either). I remember the cocktail hour being pretty good.
And it's on the water which is nice. If you have an evening wedding the backdrop of the brides is a nice effect for pictures.

Re: Opinions on these halls.....
I went to Leonards. It was nice, but I felt it was like a factory. All the bridal suites were right next to each other. So you can't help but see other brides on your wedding day.
I had made an appointment and still had to wait 40 minutes. The person I was supposed to meet with claimed he didn't know I was there. During our consultation, he took several phone calls. I felt that if that was the kind of attention I got when I was considering booking my wedding there, what kind of attention would I get if I booked with them.

Re: Opinions on these halls.....
I would definitely say that Russo's and Villa Lombardi are the best of those choices. Russo's decor may not appeal to everyone though.

Re: Opinions on these halls.....
hi well i went to see villa lombardis and leonards. i loved the menus and outside of villa lombardis but I really did not like the room. I could only see the bigger one but I did not like it and did not like the fact that they would close off half of it leaving me with hardly any dance floor!!! I loved Leonards and i loved the fact that they were gonna give me the big room which is shown on their website. they were even throwing in the chaircovers. what i did not like was their menu. their cocktail hour menu did not really have much to offer and what i really did not like was that what every other place offers you in their cocktail hour i had to upgrade at leonards! meaning they only gave me a couple of choices and then everything else i had to choose and it was considered an upgrade. their prices are really good though. for a six-choice entree, viennesse hour, and i picked one upgrade for the cocktail (i was scared it would come out to too much so i only picked one) they quoted me $79 for a sunday evening. but it sounded too good to be true so i did not want to take any risks and i went with the watermill instead. i still love the way leonards look though. ohhhh! decisions, decisons. p.s. i agree in that leonards bridal suites are too close to one another and they are right next to the reception hall and they were gonna open the doors to it and use it to set up the viennesse hour. i did not like that. well good luck

Re: Opinions on these halls.....
I saw Villas and i went to a wedding at Leonards. I agree with Gaby I didn't like that Villas room looked like it was cut off by the wall. Made me feel like i was back in HS gym class. And although i loved the room my friend had at Leonards. Everybody complained about the food.

Re: Opinions on these halls.....
Sunshine: FM curly2003, she just had her wedding at Leonards in Sept and had nothing but great reviews of the place!
I went to try the food at Leonards before booking, I suggest you do the same. I thought it was delicious!! Since you are having a big party you would probably get the huge room upstairs where you will not see any other bride on your day. Their prices are reasonable for what they give you plus what I liked is that they are willing to compromise with you in price if you just talk to them. They threw in more cocktail hour choices and chair covers when i booked. Good Luck!!

Re: Opinions on these halls.....
Russo's is gorgeous, and the service and food are excellent. I have never heard a bad thing about them other than that they can get a little pricey. Leonard's I looked at for our wedding, and I wasn't impressed. I didn't like the decor, and the banquet manager I spoke to was very rude and abrupt with me, like if I wasn't worthy of his time or something. It really turned me off. I've never been to the others.
