We worked together & I was dating someone else. Someone at work told me he had a crush on me. We worked on accounts together and became friendly. We got flirty when I became unattached. Once we really started flirting, though, I knew I wanted to be with him.

Hmm Ok I don't know how to classify this one.. We met online.. Talked for a day or two and decided to meet each other. I didn't like him the first day I met him, but my friend convinced me to talk to him one more time. I saw him in his car and fell head over heals for his smile.. And we have been together ever since.. i still call it love at second site

When FH and I were introduced my a mutual friend who hoped we would get together, I didn't like him at all. I wasn't physically attracted to him AND I found him to be arrogant and condescending. Eventually, we became friends and from there we became a couple. But if you asked me five years ago, if I thought I would marry him, I would have said NO WAY!!

My FI were best friends for years. It is so wild how things work out. I always knew he would be a part of my life!

we met on a blind date - my best friend met FH at a wedding she was attending. She called me from the wedding and told me that she met my future husband and could she give him my phone number. I thought she was full of sheet, but I went along with it. FH and I exchanged e-mails and phone calls for about a month as we were in different states. Finally we arranged to meet on a weekend when he was in town. I opened the door when he came to pick me up, and I just knew. It was like being hit by lightening....

We were friends first.... But from the day I met him I got butterflies in my stomach whenever he was around.... I was in LOVE!!!!

I'll make what could be a VERY LONG story as short as I can.....

We were friends for about a year and a half or so, then dated for 2 years.It just wasn't our time yet, so we broke up and stayed friends for 8 and a half years. During this time I was engaged (twice) but it was for all the wrong reasons. Deep down I always held a torch for him. Through various events in my life, I realized how much I still cared for him, and I asked him if he would be willing to try again. It worked this time, and on our one year anniversary (this time around) he proposed.

I guess the saying is true, the third time's a charm for me. I am happier than I ever could have imagined being. I am so glad that I broke things off with the 2 Mr. Wrongs so I could make my way back to Mr. Right. And in 116 days and 18 hours I will marry him!!!!

Brad and I met my freshman year of college (when I was dating his friend!), and were friends for 2 years before we started dating. I remember my 1st college boyfriend wanting to set Brad up with someone and asking me, "Is Brad the kind of guy you'd ever be interested in?" My response: "Nah - not my type." It took me two years to realize that there was a reason I was so happy every time I saw him....

I don't really believe in love at first sight but what happened with FH was the closest thing to it. I met him my first day on the job at work. The instant I shook his hand we locked eyes and I literally felt sparks. I said to myself... uh-oh, here comes trouble. I was dating someone else at the time and that someone else was out of the picture pretty quickly.

Funny thing is, FH actually saw me walking through the lobby crowd the day I came in for my interview at the job -- he spotted me before I ever met him and didn't even know I was interviewing for his department -- he turned to whoever was next to him, pointed me out, and said "See her? Now THAT's NICE!" (He was not in the habit of doing that BTW ) Imagine his surprise when he realized I was the new hire!

we met through the ads, so it took a while to develop love, but we talked everyday before we met face to face and still do. I feel like we have been friends forever! It was just destiny

We met at a charity auction (actually it was a bachelor auction). He was a bachelor, I was there to have some fun. We started talking--I didn't win the bid for him. But we decided to get together. I knew on our first date that he was the person that I was going to marry.

He had to grow on me. When we met we were both interested in different people. He was also so different that what I had pictured for myself. But something in the beginning told me that he would be around for a long time!!!

Ok well since i don't think i fit the above poll selections i will tell my embarassing story.

We met at a bar ( i know that is taboo but it happened). I turned around and saw him and thought he looked like this cute NY Ranger that i loved. So lud mouth me went right up to him and said hi. He called the next day...we talked on the phone, every night for month until we finally went on our first date. SO i don't think it was really lust (maybe a little), or love, or friends.

Not totally in Love but I was definitely smitten, as was he. We met and were instantly connected, hours on the phone, see each other at every chance. It's hard because he is in the Bronx and I'am on Long Island but we still talk for hours everyday.

It wasn't at all. We were set up on a blind date by our mothers who work together. We met that first night and either of us were into the conversation. I think that it was basically forced on both of us to meet. So it didn't work that night.
A few months later I had ran into him when I was with my girlfriends out at a bar. Instantly we were drawn to eachother and we both couldn't shut up the whole night. The next day he took me to a Mets day game and we have been together ever since.....

We met one night at a party, went out a couple of times and I had just started dating someone else at the same time so needless to say I didnt give FH a chance, wanted to see what would happen with other guy. I like to say that I wasn't ready for FH then.

Fast forward a few months later, after other guy was out of pic, ran into FH again. Talked, nothing happened. A few weeks later answered his ad on a dating website and DIDNT recognize picture!!!!!!! He wrote me back and we have been together since; that was over 2 years ago! So not at first sight but hopefully it is meant to be!
