I bought travel makeup bags, for my BP, and they loved them. They were by Liz Claiborne and had initals on them.

This year I got her a pashimina scarf.
One of my faves was we got tickets to go to a show together in January. Her birthday is in January so I bought dinner and we bought the tickets for each other for Christmas and had a wonderful evening out.

A GC to a local spa for a 1 hr massage We usually exchange small gifts and I actually think she's going to be mad at me for spending more, but she's had a rough year and I want to treat her to something relaxing

My best friend's birthday was yesterday so I got 2nd row tickets off of Ebay for us to see Hairspray on Brodaway for Jan 9 . I live next door to a stage hand for Broaway and he is going to get us backstage! I can't wait. I will also take her to dinner. Since I spent an arm and a leg to get these tickets I will get something small and combine these into a b-day/Chrismas present.

This year my gift budget has been significantly reduced...so I think we're buying theater tickets for eachother as our b/day & Christmas gifts. We usually celebrate our b/day's in January - since I'm late Dec and she's late Feb.
Last year I gave her diamond hoop/huggie earrings and she gave me tickets to the Ballet.

My BF and I don't give each other anything for X-mas. Since we both have large families we just don't give anything to each other due to $$ but then we spoil each other for our b-days!

It's the only gift I bought this year. (need to take it home and wrap/pack it)
It's a set of 6 musical Angels. Little black children dressed as angels and holding musical instraments or choir books.
We both loved music in school and she just moved out and on her own.. so I thought it would be nice to give her and my god son some ornaments to decroate their tree with.

All my girlfriends are people I've known for a long time and except for one, we don't really exchange anymore. I kind of feel like we don't really need to.
I was hoping to put an end to exchanging with the other one this year but by the time I gave it enough thought, I knew she already bought something for me. So I'll buy for her this year and maybe next year, things will change. I should have given it some thought sooner because this is a girl who really needs the money and shouldn't be spending it on me.

My BF started using drugs with her idiot boyfriend, and we haven't spoken since March. So I suppose I don't have a BF anymore.
But if I was going to get her something, it would be some clear insight into how she's choosing to mess up her life, and how it didn't have to be this way. 
In my heart I still wish her a Merry Christmas, though...

FH is my best friend and so far I have bought him a parka from LL Bean and two pairs of flannel pajamas.
For my "girl" best friend, I think maybe something from NY & Company.
