ARuba Honeymooners! Need HELP!
We have definetely decided on Aruba for the Honeymoon. We are torn between the Wyndam and the Radisson. Price really isn't an issue because you only have one honeymoon, but has anyone stayed at one of these hotels or both recently? How were the rooms? WHich hotel is nicer? Which had a friendler staff? Which had bigger balcony's? Beach? Children? FH and i love water sports and activities, but we also like private quiet relaxing time as well..HELP! i am sooo torn!! Thank you for very much in advance for all your insights!!!

Re: ARuba Honeymooners! Need HELP!
I can't vouch for either one but I hope the wyndam is a good choice because that s where we booked our honeymoon next summer. We booked an all inclusive deal. Our travel agent said that the wyndam was the nicest of all the all inclusive hotels. We almost booked the Hyatt but decidec at the last minute to do the all inclusive deal with drinks and meals included. I'd be interested though in what other people have to say about this.

Re: ARuba Honeymooners! Need HELP!
I hear the way the Wyndham is situated, it is even more windy than the other resorts. I have been to Aruba 5 times and stay at the Marriott. I have been to the Wyndham for dinner. It is a nice hotel. I hear the Radisson is supposed to be very nice now since the renovations.

We also were trying to decide between the Wyndam and the Radisson...in the end, we chose the Radisson because the travel agent said we would like it better. I don't think you can go wrong either way...they are both great places to stay. I cannot wait to go there....

Re: ARuba Honeymooners! Need HELP!
I just stayed at the Wyndham Aruba for my honeymoon in late September. When we told people we were staying there before we left- everyone told us we should have booked the Hyatt or Radisson. Honestly- the Wyndham was a great honeymoon. The grounds are really nice- the pool and beach are great. The rooms are nice- not fantastic but nice. We signed up to be Wydham by request members so we got an upgraded room when we got there. You can sign up on line free of charge and they send you a card in the mail. We got upgraded to a junior suite and got a complinetary fruit basket. THe junior suite was nicer than a regular room. Each room also has a balcony that you can sit on. THe food at the restaurants is good- but when we went 2 of the restaurants were closed. We still did all inclusive and it was great for breakfast(a nice buffet with everything you could want) and lunch. We ate the Wydham restaurants 5 nights and ate at other restuarants around Aruba 6 nights. The staff was very nice to us. We made friends with our waiters and bartneders. Since it is one of the only full all inclusives- there are alot of honeymooners there- at first it was a little overkill-but we met great couples from all over and everynight all the honeymooners were at the casino bar hanging out and talking. THere are water sports available to you at any hotel. There is also private time at the Wydham- we did a dinner on the beach at sunset there that was very romantic. But there are alot of honeymooners staying at the hotel so if you don't want that you might not want the Wyhdam. But honestly we had a great time there.

Re: ARuba Honeymooners! Need HELP!
and also - I don't know if it depends on the time of year but in late Septemeber we had no problems with the wind at the Wyndham. There is a wind but it doesn't bother you while you are on the beach or pool. Actually you welcome it because it get so hot in the sun.

Re: ARuba Honeymooners! Need HELP!
I just came back from Aruba a few weeks ago! We did 5 nights in Aruba & then a cruise out of San Juan for 7 nights. We stayed at the Hyatt & absolutely loved it but I've also heard good things about the Wyndham & the Radisson. I don't think you can go wrong with any of those places. Everyone told us not to go with an all-inclusive place b/c there are so many great restaurants in Aruba that you don't want to lock yourselves in to only eating at your hotel.
The only thing that I've heard other people say negative about the Hyatt is that the balconies are so small & they really are. You can only stand on them, there's no room for furniture or anything. But we didn't care about that b/c we got a cabin with a big balcony on the cruise so it made up for it. But if that's really important to you than I would go with one of the other ones. Whether you stay there or not, you should eat at Ruinas Del Mar in the Hyatt. It's very romantic & the food was delish!

Re: ARuba Honeymooners! Need HELP!
We're staying at the Radisson for our HM in March. I've heard the Wyndham, Hyatt, Radisson and Marriott are the top hotels so you won't go wrong no matter which you choose. Also, we chose the Radisson because I heard they have very larger balconies.
