Ours is at the Dylan Hotel in the city and FI is not invited.

We use to have great holiday parties but for the 2nd year in a row here there will be no party! Very disappointing to many. I am invited to 2 holiday dinner/drinks (12th and 19th) and we decided no DH's for either.

We haven't heard anything yet, and I wouldn't be surprised if they skipped it this year because we were sold.

Last year it was at Capitale, the year before, Roseland. They are pretty damn good parties, but we have to come alone.

Last year it was at the Sofitel Hotel and FH was invited!
This year since my company only has 7 employees, I doubt it.

This is our second year without a holiday party. They laid off 15% of our staff-couldn't afford it. It wasn't anything big. They rented out a local hall. So we're not missing much.

We go out for dinner and drinks in Babylon, with the lawyer we share office spance with, and her secretary, total there are 7 people.

Ours is on the 12/12 at the Hilton in NYC. DH is invited!

But I would take the bonus check instead of the party any day!

Taken for granted it's only for us.

His however includes me and it's more like a 'trip' than a party. Last year it was driving around bar hopping in a limo, taking pictures of the tree and walking around. (poor limo guy).

This year it's still open.. choices are Atlantic City, Mystery Dinner, Evening out.

Last year's evening out ended up with the boss losing his lunch with only me and two others sobber (unfortunately I was the only one in sight when it happend who was sober enough to notice it). I also had the GREAT pleasure of having the camcorder.. hehe (evil laugh) to this day people still talk. haha

So, this year there are two things.. 1) better attention paid to drinking and 2) Im not allowed to have the camera all to myself. Way to incrimidating.

.... I know Jim deserves a raise, right?


(needless to say I have more fun at his than mine,.. mine are stuffy and snobby over done regal affairs.. boring)

ETA: Just read our 'invitation' absolutely NO GUESTS allowed! And it's Rock Center Cafe, Sea Grill & Town Center.... whatever that means... I seriously need to learn more about the city. I work here and still don't 'get' it half the time.

i know ours is 12/17, but the trainees have yet to receive their invites, hmmm.... it's somewhere in midtown. i probably won't go anyway b/c i don't know anyone.
