Ok Recap of my Ohio Weekend-I know you are all excited

Lets see after drving for 8 long ass hours we get to the hotel, shower and leave for the Hoe down Thanksgiving dinner.


We are met by hubby' family. MIL walks in and doesnt say hello to me or Dh.

So I polish off my 2nd glass of wine and we sit down to dinner buffet

Dh Mother starts yelling at him from time of inception till we leave 1 1/2 days later.

The women is out of her mind and I cant stand her. She is not nice and I felt so bad for Dh. I refuse to go next year do I have to?

He goes for his nieces, but he dreads it as well. This had to be the worst. And for some reason its really bothering me this time.

I would not want to go back, but I think you need to let DH make that call.

I know Nvrbrd, he says we are going back. I think he feels bad becuase he really doesnt get to see his nieces and he enjoys taking them out.

But his mother is something else

We couldnt even tell his mom about hubbys promotion, otherwise she would have all these comments to make

I would not go again...I actually just found out that my SIL said that I was rude...b/c I don't talk to her that much when we go over.

well here is why i don't talk to her more than I have to:

1. shes a drunk (yes...she buys the JUGS of wine) - even her kids know she is a drunk
2. she made fun of my family and friends at MY wedding...talk about the pot calling the kettle black
3. I have never received a TY from her for all the freaking gifts I buy her and her kids (I don't blame the kids...parents have to teach about writing TYs)
4. She is one of the stupidest people I know...its laborious to hold a conversation with her...

She mentioned she wanted xmas at her house...NO WAY...I am not going there...I love my BIL...I love my nieces and nephew...but they can all come to MIL's house (5 miles away)...I will not enter her house!!!

Wow, seems like we all have some junk in our families

People who have the most **** always talk the most ****, it makes them feel better.
