Well, yet again, Sleepy's screwed up!! The bed is here, but they brought me two different size box springs! One is a good inch and a half to 2 inches thicker than the other one. Not to mention that the bed itself is higher than it was in the showroom...I can't touch the floor with my feet when I sit on the edge of the bed and our night tables are at least 4 inches lower than the friggen bed! I had to have the delivery people wait around while I called someone and rectify the situation. So tonight, FH and I are sleeping on an uneven bed (I shoved a comforter under the boxspring on his side to even it out)
I'm going to write a nice, long letter to the corporate headquarters and let me tell you, if they do not do something to make me happy, I'm going to hurt someone!
 Thanks for a fun story, I would be mad too!!

I'm still waiting for the right size box spring, but at least my new bed is providing some amusement in our house. FH apparently thinks it's very funny to watch me have to claw and climb my way into the bed. I literally have to either take a running leap or add a hop first in order to get in. Let this be a warning to all other ladies 5'3" or shorter! I think I might need a step ladder to get in.

Sounds like my dog. He hit his hind legs for about 3 weeks every time he jumped up on mom's new bed before he learned. Now he gets a running start. Its kinda funny to watch.
Think of it of exercise.

The idiots just came back with 2 of the WRONG box springs. They were supposed to bring at least 1 of the right one, and I was told yesterday that they were going to bring one of each to make sure that they had the right one (which sounds to me like a crock of BS, because if you look at the label, you'll know if you have the right damn one!), yet they show up with 2 of the wrong one. I don't get it. Do I have "bend me over and screw me sideways" written on my forehead???
Sunday...that's the next time they're taking a shot at being even remotely qualified to walk and talk at the same time. Let's see if three time's the charm!

I would tell them to either bring the right one or be prepared to take the entire bed away and just get it somewhere else. And hope they don't call your bluff.

Yeah, that would be what I would normally do, except I have friends coming from out of town TONIGHT and need the extra bed. Believe me, they got a piece of my mind and they are going to get an even bigger piece of it when all is said and done. They better give me a piece of the company for all the misery they've put me through.
ETS: they cancelled all afternoon trucks for today, and weather depending, all deliveries for tomorrow, so they couldn't even come out and take my bed away if I wanted them to.

I am laughing with delerium at this point. They never called or showed up Sunday and when I called yesterday, they told me that I said I was going to go to a showroom. Not only did I never say it, there's nothing in the showroom that would do me any good. They don't have box springs there and I don't want to return the bed...I just want it taken care of.
They offered to deliver it after 3 yesterday when I called at 8:45 in the morning, but HELLO...some people have to work and can't rearrange their schedule like that.
So, if anyone believes in the power of collective persuasion, could you all think happy box spring thoughts for me that they will bring the right friggen one tonight, when they make their 4th actual attempt at delivering my bed in its entirety? Thanks.

They are...they just don't know it yet.  When they get my letter at corporate headquarters, with my threats to go to the BBB and the Attorney General if they don't find some way to make me happy, I have a feeling that they will compensate me in some way. Normally, I'd just be happy to have the bed, but after all they put me through and the time I had to take from work and my life for this, I want them to pay. This is mass incompetence if ever I've seen it and they should have to suffer for their idiocy and failure to have anything remotely resembling customer service.

FINALLY!! They just brought the right box spring and FH and I can finally sleep at the same level. He's been on the lower side, and I kept rolling towards him all night and he kept feeling like he was constantly trying to climb upwards in his sleep!
If anyone works for Sleepy's, you may want to warn them now that they will be getting a nice, long, informative, and demanding letter from my attorney...AKA...me!

It's the one in Bayside on Northern Blvd. I don't think it was the store, however. The problems stemmed from the corporate office and the distribution center.

Sounds like a similar experience I had with Jennifer Convertibles... NEVER, EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM JENNIFER CONVERTIBLES!!! You have been warned!!
