A few questions about south beach diet
Ok have some questions about SBD...
1) In the bookIsaw that it has meal plans those are just suggestions right? Its not like you have to follow the meal plans eactly or close to exactly right?
2) Also, i saw that with the list of foods you are allowed to have there is no limit on them. i know with atkins certain veggies and stuff were limited does that mean i can eat as much as I want of those foods on SBD?
Ok thats all for now any answers are greatly appreciated!!!

1. No the meal plans you don't have to do strictly by the book. However do follow the shopping list for what you can eat for phase 1. There's not much you can do for breakfast. You can have low fat or fat free plain yogurt. I put in some splenda or equal into it. It's not wonderful but it's tolerable. Or eggs and turkey bacon or canadian bacon. It's hard but I figure for 2 weeks I will muster. If you don't like either eggs or yogurt then have some cheese or meat. Just eat what he says is OK.
2. No - no limit - to the author, your limit is when you feel full and satisfied.

Mary's right...but be careful...there is a limit...when you feel satisfied....not when you are stuffed...
just like anything...in moderation...
DH and I did SBD and were happy not really for the weight loss (we didn't stay with it too long...maybe 4 weeks) but for health reasons...we have dropped MANY of our unhealthy behaviors!!!!
