How many brides are taking pics w/ FH before ceremony?

Did you or will you see you FH before the ceremony for photo purposes?to ease the tension of walking down the aisle?

We did all our pictures first, for time purposes (the reception and cocktail hour were immediately after the ceremony). We would have seen each other anyway because in the Jewish religion, you sign the Ketubah before the actual ceremony, and you see each other then.
I dont think it ruined any of the "surprise" element of seeing each other for the first time at the ceremony, and our photographer captured that moment for us anyway, so it was still special.

We're planning on doing our pictures first b/c 1) we're getting married at our hall, and we don't want to miss the cocktail hour 2) it will calm my nerves and 3) our photographer will help us choose a pretty location to see each other for the first time (without everyone watching) and will catch everything on film and videotape.

We are taking our pictures before the ceremony for a couple of reasons:

1- to be able to enjoy the cocktail hour
2- to get enough picture during the daytime

we did most of our pictures before the ceremony. We also did it to save time and so that we could enjoy CH although we had to finish pictures and missed half of the CH

We are also doing our pictures before the ceremony. We have a huge wedding party and I don't want to miss the cocktail hour. I think we are going to need a lot of time to take pics, since we have a total, including FH and I of 30! Plus the parents and grandparents.

It will definately calm my nerves, if I see my FH before the ceremony! He always makes me feel better!

We are doing our pics before the ceremony- we decided it was more important to spend time with our guests then to be dtuck outside taking pics during the cocktail hour.

we are doing pics before the ceremony..everything is at the hall..so pics at our house together and at a site somewhere

We are taking them before because we'll have no other time to do it...ceremony is at 11:30 and reception follows immediately.

We're not doing our pictures before the ceremony and I don't plan on seeing FH before the ceremony. For me, it's not so much about superstition, it's about not having anything mess with that moment when he sees me as his bride for the first time walking down the aisle. We also will NOT be missing our cocktail hour, we have plenty of time after the ceremony to take our pics before the CH. But we are getting married in a church, not at the reception site. Also, I don't like the idea of looking back on my wedding day pictures and knowing that we were not "technically" married yet. It's probably silly because what does it really matter anyway, but that's just my feeling on it.

I tried so hard to pull it off, so I wouldn't see FH before the ceremony. But unfortunately due to photo's I can't.. We have to see eachother before..

We're going to wait till after the ceremony, because we both want it to be a surprise. We have like 2 hours between ceremony and reception. Good luck.

We are noyt so muvh to ease tension but more for teh fact that we want to be at the cocktail hour and not taking pics

I did, and it worked out great, we didn't ahve to rush, and we were very calm. I also didn't want to miss a minute of my cocktail housr, we were very happy we did.

We took them before, but it was only because we were getting married at the WCC and cocktail hour was right after. I felt that you pay so much $ for you photos, that I would have been WAY too stressed out trying to fit them in one hour. Plus I loved my cocktail hour and I am happy I got to be there.
If we got married in a church and there was a few hours inbetween the ceremony and the cocktail hour, I would have not seen him before.

We are taking before.

First because in Jewish religion we have to see each other before ceremony anyway. Also, I really want a lot of pictures. Since the ceremony starts at 5:30pm, we have full day of pics that we would miss out on.

we are taking pictures before the wedding -- my photographer says it is the way to go this way you dont miss out on the reception -
i dont think it is a huge deal to see each other beforehand -
