Which honeymoon location would you choose?

Help me decide! I've been to Italy twice (FH was there in the military) but we've never been to Greece.

I am going to honeymoon in Italy, but since you have been there a few times, go for the Greek Islands. They sound beautiful, too!

Hey! Good choices. I've been to Italy twice and Greece once (Athens, Delphi, Rhodes, Santorini, Mykonos (by accident) and Ikaria). Italy is always beautiful, but so is Greece and if you've been there before, try something new. Greece was gorgeous and a great time. I highly recommend Rhodes and Santorini. Many tourist activities with great cities and nightlife. Everywhere has great beaches. If you want to party nonstop, go to Mykonos (but there's nothing there to do except drink). Beware the ferries when you make plans!! If you want more info, FM and I'll be glad to share some great websites and experiences.

We went to Italy and LOVED it, but Greece is Very nice also. Tough call

I am going to Italy. So i guess that would be my pick.

I also voted for Italy - biased b/c i am Italian and my parents used to live there but also b/c next year is the Summer 04 Olympics in Greece and everything may be supercrowed and overpriced. Either one though will be gorgeous!

Greece and the Greek Isles was my first (and only) choice for a HM...but after realizing the Olympics were going to be there (and end just days before our arrival) we chose against it. Sadly.

Soooo...long story short, I voted the Greek Isles - especially since neither of you have been there and both have already been to Italy.

Wow - it seems to be a split decision - both are amazing places. Have you considered going to both places - is it possible to divide the vacation in half?

I hadn't even thought about the Olympics! I guess when I start doing pricing I'll see if it'll make an impact. I LOVE Italy and am also Italian so that was my first choice, but I'm afraid that FH may be bored - he's pretty hyper and I doubt driving around looking at beautiful scenery and going shopping would be something that he'd enjoy. I thought the Greek Islands might be a little more exciting for him.

I would love to go someplace new too, and I heard that Greece is so beautiful. We won't have time to do both either, so I have to make a choice....
