is there any way the vet can let you pay in installments?
This makes me consider getting pet insurance, which my company will be offering in January..

How is Miss Kitty today. That is one of my cats names also. How old is your cat. My first cat is almost 16. I worry about facing this myself someday. Hang in there.

Thanks everyone!! No update yet today. I am waiting for FH to call me and give me the scoop.
Liz, Miss Kitty is only 6 years old. The vet told us she is really young to be having these problems. So, we just have to just wait and see, and hope for the best.
We already found out they have two payment plans that we can use to pay off our bill, but I think FH's father may pick up the tab becuase he knows we are a little strapped for cash with the wedding so close and he doesn't want us to start our married life in debt. So I guess we'll see.
We are just praying and hoping Miss Kitty will be back with us soo. I missed her so much last night. She always sleeps right next to me on the bed, I am always crushed on the bed between her and FH and last night I was uncofortable because she wasn't there.
I will update as soon as I know how she is. Thank you everyone for caring so much about Miss Kitty. I will post a picture of her when I get home.

FH just called, he spoke to the vet. They said all test show that she is having kidney failure. The vet said she is not doing any better today, but it has only been 24 hours that she has been on antibiotics. We are going to go and visit her tonight. I feel so bad for her. They told us she is in no pain. So that helps a little. I just want her back home with us. Her brother misses her, he has been crying and searching for her. He keeps sleeping on her blanket. Poor Mr. Peabody. Well, I'll update again soon. Keep Praying for Miss Kitty to pull through. Thank you all.

Well, I don't know what we are going to do. We just got home from the vet and things are not looking too good. Miss Kitty has not made any improvement since yesterday. The doctor told us that if she stays the way she is now, she will die. We are so upset and hurting. He also told us if she does not improve in a few days, the only other option will be a transplant. This transplant costs $7000 and then $1000 a month after for maintnence for the rest of her life. Obviously we can't afford that, even though FH has said he will get another job. I guess we are going to have some tough decisions to make if she does not improve in the next few days. I hope she improves and we don't have to make these decisions. Please keep saying prayers for our baby. Thank you!
